Kaiba's LIKE A BOSS,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh!: Duelist, Vol. 3 (Yu-Gi-Oh! (Graphic Novels)) (Paperback)
I love the YGO manga series, and in this particular novel there were so many surprises since I was only familiar with the anime at the time. Seto Kaiba does so many things that 4Kids would flag as inappropriate and overall, it was a great book. I highly recommend this to any YGO fan.

Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist #6 (YGO 13),
This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh!: Duelist, Vol. 6 (Yu-Gi-Oh! (Graphic Novels)) (Paperback)
I currently own this comic book in French, and quite frankly, it's one of the best mangas of the duelist kingdom saga next to "Duelist #8"/YGO #15. There are many differences in the book that were quote on quote too "shocking" for television. On the contrary, I would have to say... more 'violent.'
For instance, when Keith goes into Jounouchi/Joey's room to steal his glory of the king's hand card, Yuugi catches him in the act, although, he is too tired to distinguish the difference between Keith and Jou--pretty sad, eh? However, in about five seconds flat, he wakes up and realizes that Keith is up to no good, and Keith slams poor Yuugi into the wall, and continues to beat him up. To put your minds at ease, however, Jou eventually comes to the rescue. Keith still winds up with Jounouchi's card, though. The manga continues up from Yuugi's defeat from Kaiba, all the way up to the time where Kujaku Mai/Mai Valentine plays her Mirror Wall card in the finals. This means, this manga contains the entire battle between Pegasus and Kaiba, as well as the dinner table scene where they find out their opponents (which also contains some comic humor from Pegasus not seen in the anime). However, the Anzu/Tea, Honda/Tristan, Ryou/Bakura and Pegasus scene NEVER took place in the original manga. Nevertheless, you "do" get hints of Cecelia/Cyndia anyway. However, don't think that means Honda is completely neglected. He and Bakura go off to find Mokuba and actually get themselves into a decent amount of trouble. I would recommend this book to any manga lover. (You will certainly get a kick out of it!) ^^ |
