Its Only Season One, May 1, 2007
This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Tag Team Trial v.2 (DVD)
Well, first off, this is the second volume of season one, not the second season. The third volume of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, or as I prefer to call it GX, is the third volume of season one, not the third season. I think some people were mixing up the volume number with the actual season. So far, Cartoon Network has shown both the first and second seasons on their line-up and they're currently airing the third season every Saturday. By the way, each season has 52 episodes. I just wanted to clear that up.
As for the episodes themselves, I personally think most of the episodes in this volume are actually better than some of the other episodes later on in the season. I've seen the whole first season on Cartoon Network when they first aired it and the begining was pretty good. The episodes and duels later on focus too much on the main character, Jaden, for my tastes and most everyone else doesn't do much of anything for a long time. The Tag Team duel was a pretty good way to introduce Syrus's issues with dueling and living up to what his brother has accomplished. Plus, he gets a nice bit of character development for a few episodes and that made me pretty happy because he's my favorite GX character.
Overall, a pretty good set of episodes. Personally, the actual second season episodes are much better and far more interesting than the episodes in the first season, but GX was just starting out then. Besides, if 4Kids is taking this long to put out the first season, who knows how long it will be before they'll release the episodes for season two. I recommend this to those who have seen some episodes of GX before, or for those who just want to relax for awhile by watching some okay to pretty good episodes of this series.

Zane Truesdale: BEST DUELIST EVER!, January 10, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Tag Team Trial v.2 (DVD)
Whether you call him Zane or Ryo, this duelist is the best of the best. You know what, I get it: this volume is mainly about Jay and Sy (Judai and Sho to lovers of the Japanese), but I don't care. Zane rules the school; big time. Lovers of the Japanese version know Zane as "Kaiser," or emperor in other words, and boy, does he live up to his name! Given his first moment of glory in this volume, the champ shows his stuff in a big-time match against our clueless but lucky hero, who challenged the big man on campus in an attempt to raise the confidence of Zane's little bro: Syrus! Too bad for Jay, the Kaiser proved to be WAY to much for him to handle, and he gets flattened in a matter of three turns. One of the funniest parts of this was Sy's announcement, "At least I got the looks," which, by the way, he did not. So if you're looking for a duelist who can REALLY play the game, keep your eye out for Zane Truesdale, the king of Obelisk; not to mention the whole Academy!
P.S. Not to mention that any girl who doesn't just fall head over heels for him the way I did has to be crazy. Sexy, much?

Season 2 Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, April 19, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Tag Team Trial v.2 (DVD)
Hello. Recently I reviewed Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Season 1 (Welcome to Duel Academy) and once again TMNT lead me to GX, only this time Season 2.
Picture it: At the store again, picking up TMNT Fast Forward (an extremly good series, far better then the orinigal)when I see a new YGO GX DVD! I extremly do a backflip. Then I ran to my mommy and she said only choose one. I then flipped her and stole her pocket book. I then ran to the cashier and quickly purcahsed them. My mom followed.
Then I took two subway sandwhiches and ate them. After seeing this, my mommy realized why I flipped her and I gave her the picket book back.
I guess this Seasons are short like Teen Titans and The Bataman. So is the series still running? Since I now have cable but still havn't seen this on Cartoon Network I guess this is just a direct to DVD release of Season 2.
Now Season 2 (Tag Team Trial) is based in the same year as Season 1, about right after the episodes when Panik returned and had a Millenium Puzzle. But that was the old plot. This 2nd season plot follows a story of Pro. Crewla and the bald man who's in charge sentencing Jadeen (misspelled on the DVD, again!) and Sieruse to battle in a Tag Team Match. If they lose, they are expelled from the Academy. Why is their life at Duel Academy threatend? Simply because they sneaked into that Haunted Dorm back in last season (Welcome to Duel Academia). But then again, that was last season.
Episode Reviews
Episode 1 (of Season 2)-This episode begins the plot for the Season. It was very intresting from beginning (from when the bald man was sentencing Jadeen and Sieruse) till the end where it was Jadeen V. Sieruse in a duel.
Episode 2 (of Season 2)-Woh baby! Jadeen gets wooped by Zhane, top rank Obeliske Blue Dorm Duelist. This was a great episode all together.
Episode 3 (of Season 2)-Chumly must face his father. Filler episode before the next two episodes of the season which are the main point of it.
Episode 4 & 5 (of Season 2)-These episodes seemed to be combined if you look on the back of the DVD, leaving me to believe this is a mini-movie. It's one hour of action packed duel excitement. And guess who Jadeen and Sieruse are facing? The Labrynth Paradox brothers!
Episode 6 ( of Season 2)-This is a great episode. Finaly, Chaz is pack in the action, and he's dueling a familiar face: Sabastion. Sabastion is smart with many decks, but Chaz is good and luvs to cheat. It's brawn vs brown. Now this should have been the Season Finale.
Episode 7 (Final episode of this Season, Season 2)-This is probally the worst season finale of all time. Jadeen duels Joey Weeler's cloned brain (of course they didn't say that but if they made this show in Japan they would). After a brilliant Season Finale with the return of Panik they give us this? How sad.
So far Yugi, Panik, the Millenium Puzzle, Paradox Brothers, and Joey's Brain has returned in both Season 1 & 2. Can't wait for three. I know it's already been called: The King of Copycats? Could this be the return of Joey and his brilliant card Copycat? We shall find out soon.
Hey I heard GX might start airing in Japan. Since this is a U.S. made production, Ihave a feelin Capmon might come next.
Haha I have some much news I think I'm gonna make a website about it. Only time will tell.
Untill next review
