4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT program....but need to release DVDs quicker!, September 24, 2006

This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Welcome to Duel Academy v.1 (DVD)
As written in the other reviews, this is the first 6 episodes of Season 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh GX. HOWEVER, the show was NOT cancelled, as someone mentioned in their review. The first season had 52 episodes. It went off during the summer (replaced by Pokemon), but returned in the Fall with Season 2. It's currently playing here in the USA on Cartoon Network at 5:30pm EST.

Now, do I love this one as much as the original YuGiOh? No, not as much! Oh, how I miss little Yugi, Joey, Tristin and Tea...at least there's the recent Capsule Monsters series to tide me over. However, this series is very entertaining and fills the void left by the Original series. If you are as big a fan of YuGiOh as I am, then you'll find a place in your heart for this show. Some episodes can be redundant, but the show and it's "cast" still pull you in like Yugi and his friends did.

My biggest complaint for this DVD release is that some cartoons, like YuGiOh, that have 52 episodes a season, I say they need to make either 2 disc sets that contain 13 episodes (this would mean 4 volumes would complete the series/season). Otherwise, they need to release these volumes FASTER. At this rate, we they will finish releasing Season 1 of GX about the time Season 3 starts (and YES, they are working on a Season 3 for NEXT Fall...5 episodes made so far, already). FURTHERMORE, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REST OF THE VOLUMES FOR THE ORIGINAL YUGIOH SERIES. They stopped after volume 2 of Waking the Dragons series (Season 4) and who knows if we will see any volumes for Season 5 (the Final Season). Come on 4Kids!

5.0 out of 5 stars Yu-Gi-Oh GX DVD - Welcome To Duel Academy Volume 1, September 18, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Welcome to Duel Academy v.1 (DVD)
In this DVD it contains Yu-Gi-Oh GX Episodes 1-6 the and here are the episodes,

001: The Next King Of Games
002: Welcome To Duel Academy
003: A Duel In Love
004: Making The Grade
005: The Shadow Duelist Part 1
006: The Shadow Duelist Part 2

you can watch these episodes on a website:

www.yugiohfans.co.uk & www.youtube.com

yugiohfans mostly have all of the Yu-Gi-Oh GX episodes

Season 1 Ep 1-52 ( COMPLETE )
Season 2 Ep 53-66 ( INCOMPLETE )

and on youtube you can watch more episodes that are in ORIGINAL JAPANESE UNCUT / UNEDITED / UNCHANGED which is the best even if you can't watch understand Japanese it's way better than the one that 4KIDS show since it's basically UNCUT version. And it will have more scenes that 4kids or Cartoon Netowrk ( CN ) probabely DELTED from the television broadcast so I suggest you watch it in Japanese instead of that dubbed crap that 4kids show.

In this episodes heres who duels in this DVD:

01: Jaden VS Dr. Crowler
02: Jaden VS Chazz Princeton
03: Jaden VS Alexis
04: Jaden VS Chazz Princeton
05: Jaden VS Titan Part 1
06: Jaden VS Titan Part 2

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Welcome to Duel Academy v.1 (DVD)
Ummm i just wanted to say don't buy this. The reason for this is becuase you can get 4 of these for the same price as buying one on here. They are all new you get 4 you would only be missing volume 4 thats it!You get volume 1 volume 2 volume 3 and volume 5.So take my advice its a great anime but get it off of ebay. You will only have to buy volume 4 if you do that sooooo thats it.BYE!
