Okay, here we go.First of all this card is a beast by just looking at it. The amount of effects this card has and the amount damage that it can weild is just unparallel. This card alone cannot be stopped from being Normal Summon. That means Solemn can't work on it. And as soon as it is on the field your opponent has no abilities to Traps, or Spells. Even monster effects are powerless to this card. Plus it is a 4k/4k with destruction ability (Raigeki). Though there is a huge flaw in design with any God card. Tributing 3 monsters versus three. Even if you cost down it from 10 to 8 stars you are just wasting card material just to summon this Divine Beast. Let me tell you this card is a destructive force that isn't easy to destroy. I will be suprised if no one actually uses him in actual tournament. This creature is destructive in ways that I have never ever seen in my entire dueling career (almost 8 years). I digress. Not having this card is a mistake, and for the low price right now... snag it really quick before they run out and the price sky rockets. Pros: Cannont be Negated for Normal Summon Spells, Traps, and Effect cannot be activated when it first comes out. Spells, Traps, and Effects cannot target this creature. Sack 2 and gain Raigeki ability. 4000 ATK / 4000 DEF Cons: 3 Tributes to bring out. Limited special summon (only stays on the field until end phase of the turn that it is brought out). Raigeki ability used and cannot attack. Pros outweigh cons in personal conclusion.

I ordered this to gain some extra copy's of this card. Of course I did this at the time they printed it because I know in about a year from now the value of this card will only go up. The original god cards sell for a lot and now that there is finally a deck legal one people will eventually go nuts over it.Anyway, from my personal analysis it plays a little different from the way it is used in Nightmare Trubidore and sprite caller. As far as I knew these 2 DS games where for a long time the closets thing you could find for official rules for the cards as the original god cards cannon t be used in a deck. The main difference I noticed is that this card must be Normal summon face up when you are not special summoning it, It cannot be set. This means you cannot defend with it on your opening turn with it. However with its 4000 atk. only a select few cards would have no fear of it. However, to lessen the risk during summoning you cannot counter its summoning. this means you opponent can't chain a card on to its summoning like Torrential tribute to destroy it. Another difference they made with this card is that you cannot attack with it if you double sac to destroy all you opponents monsters. It think this was a good change from the DS rendition as this card is a little over powered already. Beyond that it plays the same. You still triple sac. to Normal summon it and you still can special summon it from the graveyard at the cost of losing it at the end of the turn. Also it is still defended from cards that designate it as a target such as man eater bug and any equip spells. However you must remember that any cards that does not target obelisk the tormentor can still kill it such as Dark Hole and Mirror force ext. So a good duelist will want to prepare there god decks for these kind of cards as they are the biggest threat to them. However, obelisk is defended agents most cards in the game as most cards designate targets when killing or chain to a monsters summoning, so Its still an excellent card. The number of threatening cards to obelisk the torrmentor are so few that I can almost list all of them if I wanted to. However, this is a card review and not a lecture on how to best defend and destroy the god cards. Anyway , this card is a limited shonen jump card. So it was only printed for one mouth and will most likely never be released again. because of this the cards value will go up and considering how highly sought the non-deck leagel god cards are this cards value should sky rocket faster then most. My advice is get them while there still low in the low cost range.

This card is perfect. When used correctly, this card can easily earn you a one turn kill. When combined with cards like prohibition or imperial order this card can't be stopped by spell and trap cards and who has a monster with more than 4000 atk in their decks that they can easily summon to stop obilesk. And sacrificing two monsters to destroy all ur opprnents monsters can easily when the game for you if you have other high atk monsters to atk wen the field is clear. And plus it's a tournament legal egyptian god card. Get this card while you can cuz I got a feeling it won't be around for much longer.

Card is mint condition and well packaged. got shipped in 2 days after purchase and got to me in 3 days of waiting. over all these god cards are awesome, I cant wait for Ra to be made playable ; the only way to kill them is via battle and since Obelisk has 4k attack and defense once you summon it its challenge to get rid of it.pro: the best way to beat a God card is to prevent it. make sure the opponent never gets 3 monsters on his side of the field ; very difficult con: you must sacrifice 3 cards to summon it ; no exceptions

One of the most powerful and sought after cards in Yugioh is now a playable card. Not only is it playable, but it has its own unique and pretty dang awesome effect! Get it while you still can, because this card won't be around for very long.

I bought this card at my local card shop yesterday for $9 mint condition same exact version. This card is amazing and has saved me from trouble plenty of times. Every time I pull this card out you can see some fear in you opponents eye's. I use this in my x-saber deck and have been able to pull it out on my first turn a couple of times. Get this card just not for its price even at tcg it says its worth less.
