A Review, September 6, 2005
This review is from: Yu Gi Oh Series 3, Vol. 3 - Clash in the Coliseum (DVD)
A definite MUST SEE...I mean, Yugi and Kiaba dueling and the first clash of the Egyptian God Cards...what's not to like!! I would, however, have to agree with J. Wimberly, this duel is about the most draw out ordeal ever...and this is a cartoon known for drawing things out! BUT, it is still a great duel between Kiaba and Yugi! Lots of counters and strategerization going on there...AND GOD CARDS!
The flash back to the past is interesting and solidifies the destiny aspect. The part where Joey comes to Yugi in a 'dream'and points out his Red-Eyes is touching, if not a bit cheezy. But I have to feel for little Wokuba for having such a jerk as a big brother and hero. Kiabi really lays it on thick and deeply hurts the little guy who basically worships him. Which makes Kiaba's ultimate defeat all the better...the look on his face is priceless (even though, technically, it was drawn there).

Kaiba & Obelisk vs. Yugi & Slifer!!!, December 27, 2007
This review is from: Yu Gi Oh Series 3, Vol. 3 - Clash in the Coliseum (DVD)
Yugi vs. Kaiba is such a great duel that it took 6 episodes to complete! Even though "CLASH IN COLISEUM: PART I" and "CLASH IN COLISEUM: PART II" can be seen on
Yu Gi Oh Series 3, Vol.2 - Darkness Returns, this awesome DVD contains the remaining 4 episodes of the Pharaoh's spectacular duel with his eternal rival Seto Kaiba! In other words, these are the four episodes featured on this DVD:
131. Clash in Coliseum: Part III
132. Clash in Coliseum: Part IV
133. Clash in Coliseum: Part V
134. Clash in Coliseum: Part VI
(Yes, there are only four episodes instead of the usual five - just like in
Yu-Gi-Oh!: Season 3, Vol. 1 - Back to Battle City). So, what did Episode 130 leave off on? Oh yeah! Both Yugi and Kaiba had just summoned their Egyptian God Cards...Slifer the Sky Dragon vs. Obelisk the Tormentor!! Here, on this DVD, this exciting and unpredictable duel continues. When the two Egyptian God Monsters attack each other, something frightening and unexpected occurs. There's a great flash of light that originates between the two Egyptian beasts, and even though this duel is taking place hundreds of feet up in the sky on top of the Kaiba's Duel Tower, this mysterious light reaches everyone below. Tea, Tristan, Duke, and Ishizu notice the light from the parked Battle City ship and begin to worry. Episode 131 ends with Ishizu saying "The true power of Ancient Egypt is beginning to reveal itself, and I fear for us all!" Basically, this duel is very, very, very suspenseful and probably my favorite in the whole season. Also, Yugi and Kaiba's duel is interrupted with a flashback of the Pharaoh dueling the Sorcerer in an Egyptian palace - for this duel that Yugi and Kaiba are playing is the exact same one illustrated in the stone tablet at the Ancient Egypt Exhibit. If you remember correctly, Ishizu states that the winner of the duel was never known because the hieroglyphics on the stone tablet had been worn out...who's gonna win this epic battle?!?!?! Who will face Yami Marik in the Battle City finals?!?!?! Will Joey ever wake up from his comma?!?!?! What will happen in this exciting DVD?!?!?!
[I honestly recommend buying this. Yes, Yu-Gi=Oh! is addicting].
:) ^_^ =D

This review is from: Yu Gi Oh Series 3, Vol. 3 - Clash in the Coliseum (DVD)
first of all I don't even own this dvd.ButI do know everything about it.And just so know the clash in the coliseum, fighting for a friend, and a duel with dartz are the 3 biggest duels ever in yugioh history.Because they each have 6 parts and out of these 3 duels clash in the coliseum was the best.So I would buy this dvd if I were you.
