Lately I've come across quite a few people who have criticized this game, and then I have also come across quite a few people who have backlashed those remarks saying the game is awesome. Well, which one is it? Does it suck or does it rock?

It's both. (now onto the actual review)

This game has bad graphics. It's easy to beat (thus offering no challenge) and you don't have a wide assortment of weapons. It can also get extremely repetitive, espeically during fight scenes.

But, despite all these flaws, I still love this game. Why, you ask? Because, simply put, I love Yu Yu Hakusho. Wether or not the quality of the game sucks matters not to me, because "Ohmygawd! It's Yu Yu Hakusho! Kurama! Wai!"

Well, you get the point. ^^;

So here is my reccomendation for this game.

If you have little to no interest in the Yu Yu Hakusho anime, this game is NOT for you. You will be bored to tears by the 3rd level and wondering why the heck you wasted $30 on this peice of crap.

BUT, if you're a fan of Yu Yu Hakusho....if you get excited my the mere prospect of playing as one of your favorite characters, and if you find yourself enthusiastically reading along with the dialouge (complete with your own renditon of Botan's British accent), the this game IS for you.

Worst game ever. Don't let the other reviews fool you. These people who gave it 5 stars never even PLAYED it. -_-;; They're just yuyu fans like me who looked forward to this game before they got it. I purchased it because of all the 'good' reviews. A poor choice for me and at that time, it cost me 30 bucks. >:|

It has mediocre graphics, the same songs are played over and over again, and it's rather boring. The controls aren't that great either.

I bought this game on December 6th and I beat this game in less than 10 hours.The graphics are good and the sound is cool.You can unlock the Dark Tournament and use Gen Kai.There are alot of levels in this game and you get to verse a lot of bosses.Togoro is the hardest and this game is challenging when it gets to some bosses.

It's not too much of fun but it does go with the story line in the animation, some of the puzzle gets a bit annoying and it sucks cause you can't use more than 1 character at the same time. But I just buy it for collection only, so if you want to collect Yu Yu stuff, wait till this game is dirt cheap then buy it. I also have the other YuYu Tournament Tactic, now that's a 5 star.

Okay, I'm a die-hard,obsessive-compulsive Yu Yu Hakusho fan. I heard there was a Yu Yu Hakusho game and therefore, my Kurama-fangirl instincts told me to go buy it.

How incredibly disappointing.

As a biased fan, even, I started playing the game. When this originally came out, I still had a Gameboy Advance, and after about an hour, I'd spent so much time following this tiny compass at the bottom of the screen around this huge town area, my thumb was sore, and I hadn't even gotten to fight anyone yet.

You don't get any other really good characters until later, and the first few things you do get really old after a while, because you can't save until after you finish the first few mind-numbing tasks. If you die by doing something stupid, you start ALL over again. I kept dieing at some point, and I went through the same few scenes so many times, I literally know the dialogue by heart.

The graphics are nothing special for a gameboy game; really, they are about average at most. You get really tired of them after a while, and you have the same background scenery about 80% of the time. (I swear I walked past this one couch as Keiko about 30 trillion times.)

Either way, while Yu Yu Hakusho is a great series to get into and a great manga as well, I would not recommend the game.

(And if I see Kurama die anymore, I might have a breakdown...)

man this game is so damn tight! i love playing as hiei(don't worry i am not gay or a girl!)hiei my dawg!but this game is not all about hiei,it is about yusuke urameshi,kuzuma kuwabara,hiei the fire demon,and suichi a.k.a.yoko kurama,the spirit fox.i love this game!forget all dem haters that be tryin to cap on this game!(look in the mirror before you want to try to cap on this game!)i kind of pair up my games like for yu-yu hakusho spirit detective,i have it with dragonball z budokai 2 and dragonball z legacy of goku 2(Not taikestu because it sucks!)oh yeah,the hardest dude is toguro(man that nigga is tough!)but please get this game i promise you won't be dissapointed!

I really like the yu-yu show but when i got
the game i was in yu-yu world!!!
it was so cool when you fought rand and + you can choose any caracter you want!!!I recomend this game to any yu-yu fan!

Well, the graphics were pretty good, but the game was way too easy. I only died twice and that included the fight using Genkai.
It definitely wasn't worth the amount I paid for it.

The game was ok, but..... the fighting was too easy and i beat the game in about 5-6 hours and learned all the attacks and beat the tournament thing where you fight with Genkai in about 27 minutes because i died twice...
