They hold their charge very well.

I'd purchase Eneloop next time (I have lots of Eneloop and am totally satisfied by that) and not buy this YUASA stuff anymore.

The length is correct, but the button on the one end doesn't stick out far enough.

I purchased these based on the few reviews [at the time] here at Amazon. I was concerned about the quality control issues others had reported about some other brands of high power AA batteries. After recieving them I charged them with a friends Powerex WizardOne aa/aaa NiMH Battery Charger-Analyzer. After a charge, discharge, charge cycle the charger reported the battery's holding 2550 mAh +/- 50 mAh. From what other owners report, this should improve with a few more break-in cycles. I am only one cycle in but I have got more than 300 flashes from by Nikon SB-600 at which I am more than happy about as my previous batteries would have long died.

UPDATE: Sure enough about 5 cycles in, the batteries are now charging to 2700 mAh. I have been recording the charge values on my 8 Yuasa 2700 mAh batteries. On average this is what I got for 8 cells:

[Cycle 1] 2,414 mAh (± 0.3 %)
[Cycle 2] 2,415 mAh (± 0.4 %)
[Cycle 3] 2,426 mAh (± 0.6 %)
[Cycle 4] 2,414 mAh (± 0.7 %)
[Cycle 5] 2,422 mAh (± 0.6 %)
[Cycle 6] 2,698 mAh (± 4.6 %)

I am really happy, they are a great product!

Yuasa has been known for their high quality sealed lead acid (SLA) rechargable 12 vdc cells used in alarm systems. With the difficulty of getting the sanyo cells I tried a pack of these at the local frys electronics.

Pros: a good source of amazon prime 2700 nimh cells. Kept in the charger they are equally ready to go. capacity ranges from 2650 to 2700 mah. I charged at 200 ma to prevent heating of the cell during charge phase.

As usual it is important to break in properly 3 charges at new followed by 3 drains to wake up the cells from factory new. Capacity comes up from 2500 to 2700 during this breakin which is normmal

They deliver a higher current than alkaline or eneloop which is great for flashes and cameras run on aa's. Also they fit the tolerances of a standard aa cell very well.

On cons, they loose charge fast, so a good trickle charger is mandatory. Comparing these against 1000 mah alkalines and 1700 mah nimh normal cells gives you that extra 33% for the job on hand. Use them one day and charge them that night

The batteries are worth the price! They even power my camera. They hold a charge and power my devices. What more can I want from them? Whatever it is they deliver. Good batteries. The only negative was when I got them they didn't have much of a charge

As much as I like the Eneloops, I have to say that these hold a charge far longer. I don't have to switch them out of my Pentax K-X nearly as often. That's about it. They're good, they hold a charge, and they haven't failed.

I am very pleased with these new batteries for my digital camera. I've taken a series of photo's and they are still working great. And they are very quick and easy to recharge.

I wanted rechargeables for my wireless headphones in a brand I knew. These last all day before I have to recharge them, they were a decent price and they were shipping fast.

Seem to work ok holding and delivering a charge, but the dimensions are NOT standard. The length is correct, but the button on the one end doesn't stick out far enough. The charger that I had been using, I couldn't use because the one contact is recessed so you can't put the batteries in wrong and still get it to work. Safety feature of the design of the batteries. Almost had to send them back because I couldn't charge them. Found an older charger I had and by forcing the batteries in, I could get them to make contact and charge, but I'm not happy about it. Fortunately the cameras I'm using them in, it hasn't been a problem. But if the charger or the products you use are picky about the dimensions, do not buy these batteries.

I have been buying Sanyo 2700's and the price jumped 40% so I gave the YUASA 2700s a try.

I puchased 5 packages of YUASAs.

Right out of the packages (i.e. first charge these batteries) they were really under performers.

I do use an excellent La Crosse charger.

I find that these batts don't hold a charge for very long after charging.

I do not recommend these. They require that they need to be specially treated with a conditioning charger (like La Crosse). On many reconditioning did not help.

I suggest that you get the Sanyo 2700's or Eneloop.

I do rely on other who provide reviews, am I the only one who have experience this?
