She has created numerous book covers and interiors, including Moribito series by Nahoko Uehashi, Little Brother by Cory Doctorow, Shadow on the Mountain by Margi Preus and The Beautiful and Grotesque by Ryunosuke Akutagawa, among others. Not sure about the other two reviews that had problems. One was the construction of the book, indeed quality control. My copy was a used one, in perfect condition. As to the paper.... not really sure what that is about. The paper in my copy is standard paper, not glossy, but not newsprint horrible either, more satin. The paper stock is quite thick, as any good monograph should be.
The only quibble would be actual size, 9 3/4" x 7" would have preferred 11 x 14 at the most, maybe 9 x 12 in the least, though that does not warrant not picking this up if you like her work.
