This book contains most of Yuko Shimizu's most popular works, the colors are very properly printed. Being a fan of Shimizu, it's really a worthwhile buy. The only small problem about it is the papery texture of the book (i.e. not the glossy type), which is easily stained from liquid +++. Be sure to keep all writing/art materials & dirty fingers away from the book.

This is a very well thought out and designed book. The print quality is excellent, colours vibrant as intended. Yuko's work is quite original with just the right amount of work put into pieces, no over thinking a subject.

Not sure about the other two reviews that had problems. One was the construction of the book, indeed quality control. My copy was a used one, in perfect condition. As to the paper.... not really sure what that is about. The paper in my copy is standard paper, not glossy, but not newsprint horrible either, more satin. The paper stock is quite thick, as any good monograph should be.

The only quibble would be actual size, 9 3/4" x 7" would have preferred 11 x 14 at the most, maybe 9 x 12 in the least, though that does not warrant not picking this up if you like her work.

As a fan of works of Yuko Shimizu I bought this book. The quality of the book is very good. Very easy to bring with due to a perfect size. The book itself contains lots of great illustrations of Yuko's work. A great reference book. I am very happy with it!
