Ron Wendt was born in Fairbanks, Alaska in it’s territorial days. He has been involved in prospecting and mining nearly all his life. He writes about and photographs the north with expertise in northern mining and Alaskan & Yukon gold rush history. He has written 24 books on Alaska and northern history. His work has appeared in publications like; California Mining Journal, Gold & Treasure Hunter, Lost Treasure, Western & Eastern Treasures, Alaska Magazine, Alaska Geographic, Country Magazine, Country Woman, Farm & Ranch, Christian Science Monitor, Iditarod Runner, Anchorage Daily News, Yukon Reader, and many more.
