I think the previous reviewer is very harsh and can't really back up his reasoning for disliking the book. I have spent a lot of time flipping through it and planning which recipes to try, and have already tried a couple... I think there are some really great ideas in here for a potato-lover who wants to try something newer than the plain old recipes they might be used to. There are great ethnic potato recipes as well as classics with new and interesting twists. I have A LOT of cookbooks, about 80 or so, and I can honestly say that there are several recipes in this book that I am very anxious to try, so don't breeze past this one just because someone else gave it an unfair review. If you love potatoes, this is a great book you should look into.

I read and review tons of books and this one is a winner. If you love potatoes you will find many new and different ways of serving them from decadent dishes dripping with cheese to healthy ones with nothing but fresh herbs and citrus.

Marlena Speiler is great, and this cookbook has so many great recipes! I've made about 10-12 of them and will continue. Also gave a copy to my daughter for Xmas, with my notes on recipes I've tried and loved. YUMMY is the right title!

I love this little paperback, with its tasty recipes, suggested variations and accompanying photos. We have enjoyed half a dozen recipes so far and added a few to the regular cooking rotation. This single topic cookbook ranges the world of taste with its tempting recipes. (No failures or rejected recipes yet.)

I love potatoes, and think about fixing them all different ways, and with all the newest products on the market, great dishes can be prepared quickly in a short amount of time.

But this book was disappointing to me, on my scale of 1 to 5, with 5 the highest, I gave it a 1.
