I found this book the be terrible, by far the worst book on cars I've ever come across. Grossly lacking in detail, The A-Z of Cars is anything but. Falls way short in the amount of cars it actually discusses as well.

Good for Beginners,

I was a little disappointed with this book. While it covered a fair bite of ground, there was not enough detail. By covering so much territory so quickly, many of the finer technical points were left out. This book may be aimed at people who are new to the subject of automoibles. To give the boook credit, it does give some important history into the orgin of the car, and why cars are so important to millions of people. When I say important, and I am refering to an idea that a car is more than just a way to get from point A to B, instead a car is a passion.
