Very good basic for the layperson
This book is well writen and edited. It is correct and informative. It has helped us very much with our new puppy. Recommend this book to anyone with a Canine best friend.

A guide to dog health problems
This is a good quick reference for many problems and I refer to it often. While it does give some useful information it doesn't go into as much depth as I personally prefer. It may save some trips to the vet and it often makes obvious when you need to see one.
