  • Each Z Factor Perfect Putting Machine accommodates an optional clip on, rear-mounted alignment laser that illuminates the target line. The line projected by the laser will teach your eyes to identify the target line and help you aim your putter properly at address.
  • The Z Factor's parallel design aids in setting the feet and shoulders up square to the target line. A numbered stance indicator system allows the user to replicate their stance width and position on every stroke.
  • A ball position indicator allows the user to place the ball in the exact same location on each putt. Having consistent ball position is an important aspect of a repeating stroke.
  • The Z Factor Perfect Putting Machine is very easy to use. Simply attach your putter to the magnetic carriage and the machine will guide you through the perfect stroke. For putters with synthetic faces, small steel plates are attached to the putter's heel and toe using foam tape. These adapters are then removed when the practice session is over
  • The Z Factor Perfect Putting Machine takes about 5 minutes to set up initially. Once it is set up, it is ready to use at your convenience.

Product Description

The Z Factor Perfect Putting Machine has been ordered by PGA Tour members, PGA teaching professionals, golf schools and individual golfers of all skill levels. This is because all of these people know what an amazing revolution this product is with regard to teaching, learning and practicing the art of putting. The Z Factor Perfect Putting Machine actually allows you to see and feel the perfect putting stroke, which builds true muscle memory. The machine is adaptable to teach both the SQUARE TO SQUARE and ARC putting techniques. Square to Square (STS) With the Z Factor Perfect Putting Machine set up in the STS mode you will be learning the muscle memory of a SQUARE TO SQUARE putting stroke. In this stroke the putter travels straight back and straight through on the target line. The face of the putter is always pointed at the target during this stroke. This style of putting is used by golfers of all skill levels including PGA tour players, but may be especially helpful for beginners and for practicing short putts. Inside-Square-Inside (ARC) With the Z Factor Perfect Putting Machine set up in the ARC mode you will be learning the muscle memory of an Inside-Square-Inside putting stroke. In other words, the putter travels INSIDE the target line on the backstroke, returns to SQUARE at impact, and travels back INSIDE the target line on the follow through. This stroke is thought by some instructors to be more natural and resembles a miniature golf swing. During this stroke the face of the putter opens relative to the target line, but remains square to the arc along which it is swinging. Most of the players on the PGA tour use some variety of this method.

I recently purchased the Z Factor putting machine, and have learned a great deal about my putting, especially my take away. I did not realize my brain was stuck into a very shallow arc upon my take away leaving me with an uncomfortable brain/shoulder turn. Now the putting arc ( with the red spacer in place) allows me to arc swing with a very comfortable take away. If you have bad mechanics or are very wristy, this device when used properly, and I re-iterate properly, will slowly strip you of these habits. If you aren't willing to re-train your muscles and swing path properly( staight to straight or an arc path), you are probably not interested in other training aids and game improvement techniques.

The device is portable, sturdy, and when used as intended will last you for a lifetime. If several pros find the device useful( and we all know how they will use any technique/device available to make their next million), why shouldn't you and I benefit from a training aid that we can afford. Mr. Woods can spend big bucks for the SAM putting system, the rest of us really cannot pay that kind of cash!

I am developing a new putting swing with a belly putter that I have recently purchased. I want to go straight to a proper swing path and get rid of my bad habits with a regular length putter. If you are thinking of getting a new putter, or different putter length do yourself a big favour and train yourself properly with the Z Factor putting device. The longer putter is not to get rid of the yips or the like, it is easier on my low back and neck.

Make one of the most frustraighting parts of your game a confidence booster! I know I have.

Have used the device for 4 days and have found it to be what I was hoping it would be. Have a flaw in my stroke that I haven't been able to change so decided that this winter I would use this device to reprogram my muscle memory. As I have only had it for a short amount of time I can't comment on its effectiveness yet but I do know that my stroke on the device has a different feel and I know that the stroke on the device is a sound one so I just need to practice that stoke enough times to ingrain it into my muscle memory. I can't agree with the only other review I saw on this site about the device. I found the device to be well constructed and thought out- there is even a place on the device to put all of the extra pieces I'm not currently using so that they are close at hand if and when I do need them. Haven't had any problems with the rods coming apart and I have no concerns about my putter being in any way damaged. I found it fairly easy and quick to assemble (has a manual with photos or a dvd showing how to assemble it). Have always tried to have a straight back and straight through stroke but after trying the device with a slight arcing stroke I feel this will work better for me, device can be set up for either type of stroke, has 5 different degrees of arcing stroke). If it was an option I would have given the device a 4.5 rating only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that I had some difficulties with the instructional DVD (the content of the DVD is very good) but it didn't work the way I felt it should. Using Windows Media Player I would click on the Main Menu options but nothing would happen and I didn't see any instructions pertaining to the DVD. I could open the individual titles that were off to the side and see the lessons, drills, putting theory etc. but this is a small thing and may not be a problem for others.

I've had this and set it up right away. It is interesting and not a scam or ripoff in any way. The designers have integrity and put a lot of thought into this. But, alas, it just doesn't work, isn't worth the effort at all! If I had to put my finger on its fatal flaw, it would be that you have to stick adhesive on your favorite putter and adhere magnets to both sides of it, so it sticks to the magnets on the track. Now, I only have 1 favorite putter, so that is a huge hassle in itself to have to stick the stuff on and remove it when I want to actually play gold. My other gripe about this design flaw is that being that locked into a machine doesn't really simulate a putting stroke. Sure, you can groove back and forth, but I could also draw an arc or straight line on the floor depending on my stroke preference and guide the putter back and forth over that 30x a day. {Hey, not a bad idea, maybe I'll try that...} But I digress.

I give it 2 stars because it's well made and designed, but only 2 stars because it was not effective and that probably stems from the fact that it was not well conceived. The fact that PGA tour pros have this is not surprising. Vijay Singh has probably two garages full of putting aids, but he still can't putt!

The Z factor training aid was certainly not worth the amount of $$ I spent to "improve my putting". I averaged 33 putts per round in the last 43 rounds of golf i played and was looking for a game improver. I have a 1200 sqft Southwest putting green in my backyard and really believed this training aid would improve my putting, however it was only when i assembled the Z factor that i realized how terrible the Z factor really was. It feels very clunky and cheap, I didn't feel comfortable using my Scotty Cameron in it as I thought it might scratch or break it. The swing path guiding rods frequently come apart and many times in mid-swing I had to stop and reassemble the product. I have a used many cheap putting aids and have found them more useful than this product. Please don't buy this product as you will waste money on the shipping to return this useless gimmick.
