i wasn't expecting much from this chair when i purchased it. i have never owned any z-line products but i must say, this chair vastly exceeded my expectations. first, the chair is of impeccable quality. the build is very strong and the leather is not real but it looks and feels so convincing that i had to sniff it to be sure. unbelievable stitching for the leather, very high quality. it was imperative that i had a lower profile chair for the setup that i have. at the lowest setting the chair is exactly 17.5 inches from seat to ground level. this was perfect because my desk has a keyboard tray that sits 22 inches from floor level. the chair does have a tilt function, but it does not recline. setup took about a half hour and the tools are all provided.

the chair is extremely comfortable. i can sit on it for hours with no problem. it has an additional cushion for the legs as shown in the product picture. this makes a big difference for circulation in the legs. my legs never fall asleep in this chair and i find myself fidgeting much less, if at all, than the other chair i had. aesthetically the chair looks very sophisticated and professional. it has a conservative look to it with just the right amount of edge to the look. i am 6'2" and the chair accommodates me very well. it's one of those unique chairs where you feel just as comfortable with your legs stretched out as you do when you are sitting upright with your legs tucked under. the cushions are very soft and provide excellent support. very unique feel to it, almost like a memory foam. if i ever need another computer chair, i know where to go. z-line will definitely get my business again.

I looked everywhere for an office chair that could handle at least 300 pounds that wasn't also for tall folks...not everyone's over 6 feet tall and a bit broad of beam, some of us are around average size(in my case 5' 6") and I just happen to weigh 270 pounds. All of the "Big and Tall" chairs were both expensive(all of them were over $200.00),and they had the unfortunate ability to force those of us with shorter legs to get stuck using a pillow or something behind us to compensate for the longer, wider seats used in the B&T chairs. And none of them were adjustable fore and aft to help out the situation(at least that were under $300.00...). Well then imagine my surprise when I came across the Z-Line series of Executive chairs. They have a rating of up to 300 pounds for daily use, as opposed to "normal" category office chairs that top off at 250 pounds, while keeping "normal" chair dimensions...I truly can't believe no one else has thought of this yet! And the quality of this chair is outstanding, with solid construction and a nice bonded leather(a combo of PVC and a backing of bits of leather)covering, plus memory foam in the bottom cushion(very comfortable!). It went together easily enough(an extra set of hands helps here), and is sturdy and tough. I've been using mine for over 6 months now, and it is holding up to 8-10 hour days behind a computer with great lumber support and above average comfort. There are no squeeks or rattles to report, and it feels as solid as the day I put it together, nice :-) For those of us who don't fit the Big and Tall category, but need a little extra strength to hold up our slightly larger frames, this is the ticket. Highly recommended!

Bought two of these for my new home office, boy was I happy I did.
They are so comfortable, great looking and easy to assemble.

The chair arrived with a substantial rip in the back. It is too bulky to return, so I'll just have to live with it, but I'm not happy about it.

Otherwise, it's OK and moderately comfortable.

Learned a lesson not to buy large items online. Returns are a hassle and may cost money.
