It took a long time to get this item when I selected free shipping -- about 2.5 weeks. But it did arrive before the specified arrival date. This is the largest, tallest free-standing TV mount I could find anywhere, with at least nine inches between the two glass shelves. That distance is important for across-the-top air flow if you need fans to cool your components. It does create a commanding presence in the room.
When you get the box on your porch, you will be in for a treat! But, do some preparation first. It can be assembled by one person. Haul it into the house. Now, go get the vaccuum cleaner! Don't even open the box without it at hand. The styrofoam will float. A thousand tiny grains everywhere, so vaccuum everything off as you pull it out. Else, you will find styrofoam bits forever. Initially, the directions are basically simple and extra connectors are provided so you absolutely will be putting this thing together. Every piece is numbered in sequence of assembly so you can't lose anything. If you are vaccuming, you will avoid cleaning up later. Once you have the parts out and identified decide to put the cabinent together in one process because you have to glue it all together, as well as screw it together. Its takes about 2 hours if you are being careful. Make sure you glue carefully and place the connectors precisely and the bottom cabinent construction will be tight and virtually unbreakable. There was one mis-aligned hole punched in the metal brackets for connection of the bottom of the cabinent to the frame, but this was not a problem because three out of four was quite tight enough. Putting the drawer together is important -- do it carefully -- the first time I tried to push it in I thought I had reversed the sides. But it needed a bit of force and works fine. I put a 54 inch 85 lb TV on this stand with a 65 lb receiver on the bottom shelf and a mostly self-supported 105 lb amplifier on the other side of the bottom shelf... I think there may be between 70-90 lbs altogether on the bottom shelf. I didn't want to test it past that! I was already exceptionally pleased that it was so sturdy. Don't overload the glass shelves. I have the center channel on top (10 lbs) and the BDP and cable box on the second. The wire guides are in helpful positions and I did use one for the seven-channel analogue crossover cables to the amp. The others are for power cords, HDMI cables, and speaker cables. It does work, and it is very functional. If there is a better mount for an audiophile set-up, I can't find it. Careful assembly is the key. Enjoy!

The stand arrived ahead of schedule. The 133 lbs is no joke, this thing is heavy. I appreciate the weight though; that means stability. No wobbles, no shakes. This thing is rock solid quality. It took me a little longer than the other reviewers to assemble it, only because I had to stop and vacuum all the little styrofoam pellets. Best advice, have your vacuum cleaner nearby before you even open the package. The package took a beating during shipping and almost all of the styrofoam was crumbled.
I don't think the pictures here do this thing justice. I was awestruck by its beauty as I was assembling it, and got very excited as it started to look like a TV stand. I still stop and stare at it as I pass through the room. For supporting a 52" Samsung, this does the job extremely well. I chose the second from the highest mounting point for a 52" LCD TV, hope that helps.

Not just a stand...THE STAND,

This stand has solved several problems I had, and 1 potential problem I was going to face. I have been wanting to mount my display for awhile now and just haven't been able to being in the apartment I'm in. The Sync stand solved that for me, next my receiver is pretty beefy and in the previous stand it just wasn't getting the clearance it needed for proper air flow. Again, fixed with this stand. Next like I said I'm in an apartment so I have to try to maximize the space I have and with my old stand I had to place my center channel in the upper component compartment and place my Blu Ray and DVR in awkward positions, this solved that for me. Providing me with enough room to get a new media storage unit that makes the entire room look cleaner and better. As well as allowing me to get a slightly larger sub, and I will now have room for the 65VT30 without fear of not having room. This stand is a life saver have it be your in a house or apt.
The stand itself is definitely sturdy, and will hold a 65" with ease. Each shelf is rated to hold 65 lbs and 150 lbs for the mount itself. So it can accommodate most set ups. The only downside I see with this stand and its not even really a downside just a little more effort is that since the way it is designed and how most will probably place their components you will have to be on top of wire management. I just ordered some zip ties and shorter hdmi cables. These will be your friend. If you have long wires it will be tough to hide them. Other then that the only other bad thing I have to say about it is the styrofoam is out of control in this thing. Definitely as other reviewers have mentioned vacuum while unpacking. Assembly does take some time, but well worth the effort. My suggestions for assembly is have a vacuum available, and when you open the box, DO NOT open from the end and pull it out. Lay it flat and cut it open on the top so it opens like a door. Take everything out carefully and stage it if you have the room. After you get everything out hit it with the vacuum, and get the box out of the way. If you do this you won't have to worry about foam floating around everywhere. Now step one is what actually takes the longest and it is the part where you're putting in cams, cam locks, and dowels. Now if your heavy handed and use a ton of glue you will run out. So use it just be cautious with it. Once you finish step 1, your home free. It takes about an hour to get from step 2-End. So it will probably take 1hr 45min or so if your pretty quick, maybe 2+ if your casual about it. Also before you finish assembling decide where you want it then put the glass shelves on. Basically just skip that step, same with putting the drawer in. Much easier to move without the shelves, but put the shelves on before you mount the display. Also what helps is getting your components in place on the bottom shelf/drawer first then run your cables, etc, then once thats done put on the 2nd shelf (glass one over the drawer). Get your 2nd shelf all set up and then place on the top glass. Reason I say this is because its easier to maneuver without them. Overall I'm happy, very happy. Even though it is a stand you almost don't think about it. It's like your display is just floating there. Very nice. If your on the fence, GET OFF OF THE FENCE get this stand. Great buy
