I bought the original sierra 12 X 12 and the canopy square footage was 100 sq ft. (10 x 10) The new sierra II 12 X 12 canopy is only 9 X 9 (81 sq Ft.).

Ez up is selling the "same product" which covers less area now for the same price as the old one. Believe me when I say that the extra foot

(19 sq ft) make a difference!

The 12 X 12 is measured at the base of the slanted legs and the new model legs slant a lot more

It took a little while to figure out how to set this up...my husband didn't want to help, because it was 90 degrees outside. Anyway, with a little effort, I figured it out - I was able to pretty much do it on my own, but it would have been a lot easier with someone to help me. Once you have it figured out, it's a piece of cake after that. Also easy to take down, and goes back in the bag nicely - and the bag has wheels, which is great, because this thing is heavy!

It is so easy to use and provides great shade. One person can put it up but better if two people are used.

I bought the E-Z UP 12x12 for my son to detail cars under on sunny days. I personally own the 10x10 version of this same shelter and have used it for a year. Lightweight, affordable, easy to carry and assemble and DURABLE! I would highly recommend E-Z UP products based on my experiences!

Overall this product works just fine. The carrying bag is great but the stakes are a joke. If you do live in an area that is windy i would suggest buying some sandbags and and hang them at the corners. It takes more than two people to actually setup this canopy and

Just bought this and tried to fit a 12x12 screen to it. Turns out this is actually 11'x11', so if you want to install a screen with it, you're out of luck. I'm returning mine.

Good solid frame and handy pin to close corners. The top was good protection but very thin and light. At the beach it would have flown away. I added grommets and attached it to the frame. Then excellent.

The cover worked great and was plenty big enough. I see people on here complain that the size isn't that big and it's not quite 12', but we found it to cover our picnic table with PLENTY of room to walk around it and still be under the shade. Folded up nicely into its bag. First time opening it, go slow, take your time, so you're not like the other knuckle heads on here who broke theirs! All in all, this thing is great. If it breaks or anything changes, I'll update the review.

No problem with ez up. Was worried after reading some of the reviews.. We were just a little more carefull when opening and closing.. Would Recommend

This is a bit heavy and long,(in the bag) but it does fit sideways in the car. We used it at the beach- in pretty windy weather. I read a previous review that suggested using those corkscrew dog anchors and I had just one, but it helped. I would only suggest using those or some longer tent stakes for windy days. It really was easy to put up- but, again, it took two people in the wind.
