This is the best screen protector I have purchased. I've used the iskin screen protector which was good, but mad the screen quality look bad. I tried a few other clear and colored screen protectors, but by far this one exceeds them all. I've had it since December 2007 and it still appears flawless and fits into all of my cases. This is the best screen protector I have purchased. I've used the iskin screen protector which was good, but mad the screen quality look bad. I tried a few other clear and colored screen protectors, but by far this one exceeds them all. I've had it since December 2007 and it still appears flawless and fits into all of my cases. I am currently using the touch leather case from [...], but alternate between my i-volution from [...]and iskin from [...]. Granted it took me a few tries to position the protector right, but as long as you READ and FOLLOW the directions it's a piece of cake. Here's the simplified version:(You still have to read and follow them though.)
1. clean the surface area with a lint free cloth
2. apply the spray liquid that came with the shield to your FINGERS, so the shield does not stick to them.
3. apply the spray to the surface of the ipod, it needs to be fairly moist, NOT SOAKED, NOT A SNEEZE.
4. position the film on the ipod, if you need to reposition make sure your FINGERS are wet with the spray so the shield does not stick to them and keep the surface of the ipod moist as well.
5. use the squeegee to excrete the remaining liquid from between the ipod and the shield. DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE SMALLER BUBBLES! They dissipate when the sheild settles. (It also says this in the instructions.)

There you go. Remember keep moist and the process is much easier. I just ordered two more my wife and sons' ipod video.

3.0 out of 5 stars Install it right and you'll have good protection, October 5, 2008
Okay. Before I decided to buy the InvisibleSHIELD, I've read a lot of reviews that said this product is crap, useless, blah blah... Anyway, I wasn't happy with my InCase casing that I had and decided to just give it a try and find out for myself. I'm using an iPhone 3G.

So, those of you who are considering of getting this product, the key is in the installation. I'm not a pro and this is my first time installing it but here are possibly some useful tips.
1. Watch the video on Zagg's official site. It gave me a general idea on how the whole process is going to be.
2. Clean your surrounding area and your hands. -- I wiped clean the table, had a chamois cloth laid down, a lint free cloth and washed my hands. All of which is shown on the official video.
3. Never hesitate to use more of the spray for easier installation. But, please use your common sense, don't drench your phone with it too. On the video, the "pro" only sprayed like 2 times but I easily sprayed 4-5 times and I still have left over spray after my installation is done.
4. And yes, the back-piece of the iPhone is tricky. It takes a lot of patience and as long as you've got enough spray, it moves around easily enough for you to adjust it. Use techniques shown on the video like the "palming technique" to secure the sides. In order for you to do this, you need to let it dry a little first. If the shield is still wet, no matter how long you "palm" it, it will still not stick.
5. Finally, after installation, allow to dry for 12-hrs. Seriously. Don't touch it. Initially, I thought I had screwed up mine because I noticed a couple of bubbles on the front and back. But after 12-hours, they were gone. Just beautiful.

So, am I happy with this product? Yes.
Three-stars because of the tricky installation procedures.

4.0 out of 5 stars Invisible Shield by Zagg, August 17, 2008
When you invest hundreds of dollars on something, you want to take care of it. You want to keep it looking pristine. If you've purchased an iPhone, you know what I'm talking about. I'd hate to see my iPhone all scratched up because I didn't take care of it.

Zagg's Invisible Shield puts these concerns to rest. The principle of the Invisible Shield is simple: A thin stick-on plastic coating that covers the entire phone. Zagg included everything in the box that you need to install the Invisible Shield: Shield spray, to clean the iPhone and help with placement of the Shield, a squeegee, the Invisible Shield plastic coating for the entire case, and even an extra shield for the screen. Zagg also offers a free lifetime warranty for the Invisible Shield.

Despite the provided equipment, installation was difficult to say the least. This is more a function of the shape and design of the iPhone than a fault on Zagg's part; you're basically tasked with installing a flat sheet of plastic on an object with rounded corners and small buttons. You install by spraying the included liquid onto the Shield (and your fingers to prevent fingerprints and help with handling the sticky side of the plastic) and then placing the pieces as explained in the instructions. Spraying the liquid on the plastic pieces helps the plastic slide around before the sticky side grabs hold. Then you squeegee the liquid out. This sound easy but lining the pieces up perfectly was a challenge. I spent over an hour getting all the pieces just right. And there are eight pieces to install, but you could probably just get by with the screen protector and the back. The six trim pieces were the most difficult.

Once installed, I fell in love with the Shield. As advertised, you don't see the Invisible Shield, other than the matte finish on the back of the phone now being shiny. What I noticed and loved the most is the grippy feel that the Shield gives. My iPhone no longer feels like it could slip out of my hands. And I'm certainly not worried about scratches anymore, short of someone taking a razor blade to my phone.

Despite the difficult installation, it is well worth the effort and money to put the Invisible Shield on your iPhone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome iPhone Shield (not case), July 8, 2008
This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 1st Gen - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have had this shield (it is really not a case and it should not be used as one) for about 8 months on my iPhone and I love it. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned it is a little tricky to get the cover "just right" right off the bat, but I found if you leave it sitting for a while after you spray the application solution the shield will get tacky and be much easier to apply. I use this shield in conjunction with a Piel Frama case and it works beautifully; when I need to use my phone without the case I know my very expensive "toy" will be safe and scratch free. I only knocked off one star because of the difficulty with the application. Overall a great product; I also bought an InvisibleSHIELD for my digital camera and camcorder!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars It won't look amazing, but it serves its purpose., March 7, 2008

If you do it right, the end result won't look absolutely amazing. However, it does somehow stays on, does a good job of keeping away scratches, and keeps the Iphone slim.

The biggest advice I can give you is watch the manufacturer's video (web link is provided in the package) all the way through before doing anything because there are information at the end that will be beneficial for you while you are applying the strips. Also, watching the video will give you a good idea about the process and what you have to do.

With that said, follow directions and do exactly what the video says. The video is very comprehensive and gives you advice on everything including preparation, how to put the films on, what to do with the edges, and what happens when there are bubbles.

I suspect the people who tried to do this, were not patient and are incapable of following directions.

Yes, there will be imperfections and as the video states, you can minimize them by doing the correct adjustments when the film strip is still wet (part of the applying process requires the film to be sprayed with the manufacturer's solution). Do not approach this process with the "eh...screw it" attitude. If its not on right, then adjust it right then and there. Also, if there are spaces on the phone still left uncovered, then you still have spare parts to cut out and stick on yourself.

After using cases for the past couple of months, I have found out the hard way that most cases somehow allow dust to settle in and the subtle movement of the phone inside the case causes scratches.

I prefer using the Invisible Shield because it fits better into my jeans without bulking up the size of the phone and its air tightness allows no dust to enter.

Good Luck

4.0 out of 5 stars It's quite good, April 5, 2008

This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 1st Gen - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I did a lot of research on the invisible shield before I bought one for my i-phone. I have to say that I am quite pleased with the outcome. Although I bought the full body cover, I only used the front cover then used a slim case (cozip) to protect the rest.

Most reviews talk about how hard it is to apply the shield. However, if you follow instructions carefully, you wont have too much of a problem. Use the spray for the fingertips, and the "squeegee" to remove bubbles. Those are very important. I'd say save some money and go for the front cover only.

About the appearance: it looks good! I like it alot. Especially combined with the cozip case. There is one tiny, tiny bubble but it does not bother me. And unfortunately, a small print or dust or something got trapped under the cover, but again, it is barely noticeable.

5.0 out of 5 stars SUPER Product, February 8, 2008
This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 1st Gen - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This is the absolute best protective skin for the iPhone. It fits tighter than OJ's glove! It is not hard to apply if you follow the directions exactly as shown. If you misapply it, you simply lift it off and start over. When it's applied correctly, you can't even tell it's there. You will probably still want a case to carry it in, but for invisible protection, this is the best.

I love this product! I was afraid with my new phone that my earrings would scratch the glass. This has saved my phone! I would recommend it to anyone.

A little tough to put on but TOTALLY worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars iphone shield, January 20, 2008
This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 1st Gen - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Personally, I like the body cover very much, the screen cover gave a wavy look to the screen in my opinion, so i got A different one that is pretty transparent. But the body cover part is very protecting of this way expensive ipod that happens to have a phone in it. Also, it wasn't the easiest to apply, but it wasn't too difficult.

The screen protector is great... The rest of the body doesn't look that good and the installation ain't that easy either. I'm looking for another option to guard the body.
