5.0 out of 5 stars Great protection, easy to install.
I've had this cover for both the iPhone 3G, and now for the iPhone 4. For reference, I've also owned other variations of similar products including BodyGuardz brand, and also very cheap knock offs. I prefer Zagg for several reasons.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great protection but slightly tacky to the touch and tricky installation
This screen protector is made from a slightly rubbery material that is neither totally invisible nor totally smooth to the touch. It is extremely durable, though and doesn't seem to get smudged. This screen protector is made from a slightly rubbery material that is neither totally invisible nor totally smooth to the touch. It is extremely durable, though and doesn't seem to get smudged. I'll probably keep mine on for a while since I went to all the expense and effort but I think I prefer the more rigid matte finish covers.

I think the problem that most people have installing this cover is not getting it wet enough using the included spray bottle. I started off being very cautious and lightly misting the cover. But, when it's only slightly wet the cover is extremely sticky - which makes it almost impossible to work with. It installs way easier if it's literally dripping wet. Then you can slide it around on the phone to get it situated before using the squeegee. You also don't need to go nuts with the squeegee - just a light touch will remove the water without stretching the screen cover.

Unlike other covers, you can also peel it off and re-do it just about as many times as you need to. Some other covers are easier to install on the first try, but if you mess it up they are ruined. This one is difficult to install, but you can keep re-doing it without permanent damage. I was able to get it perfect without any bubbles, but I had to un-peel it about 3 or 4 times.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great protection, easy to install., June 30, 2010
This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 4 - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I've had this cover for both the iPhone 3G, and now for the iPhone 4. For reference, I've also owned other variations of similar products including BodyGuardz brand, and also very cheap knock offs. I prefer Zagg for several reasons.

First, the installation is very simple. It seems other reviewers have had problems, but if you follow the directions it is fool proof. There is no adhesive on the product, you wet the cover with the included solution, and then apply it to your phone. No worries if you don't get it right the first time, you can simply lift it off the phone and try again. The key is to make sure you get it wet enough. After that, you push out all the air bubbles with the included tool, and let your phone set overnight. If there are still some little air bubbles left, they go away after about 24 hours.

Second, the protection that this skin offers is fantastic. I don't like bulky cases that take away from the sleekness of the iPhone. I keep my phone in my pocket with my keys, wallet, and anything else without worrying about it scratching. I don't know what the material is made of, but it's super strong and won't scratch. There's a lifetime warranty on this product too, so if you're actually able to make a scratch in this thing (which I doubt), they'll replace it.

Overall, I am extremely happy with this product, and will definately buy it again for my next phone. It doesn't ever peel or come off of the phone, it's never scratched despite the abuse I put it through, and was very easy to install. Great value, considering it's protecting a very expensive phone.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good for back, not for front, June 25, 2010
This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 4 - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I purchased this based on the reputation of their products. The package actually said iPhone 4G, which kind of turned me off, but I guess that's because they likely made it before the official unveiling of the name iPhone 4. Installation was not that bad - no worse than any other screen protectors I've purchased for past iPhones. Took a little bit to get all of the bubbles out and looking perfect, but it wasn't difficult. I had the front protector on for less than a day before I decided I couldn't deal with it's sticky feeling. My fingers would sort of skip across the screen due to its rubberiness. I prefer the working surface of the touch screen to be smooth.

It also is not invisible. It creates a bit of an uneven sheen when looked at from an angle. The iPhone 4 is a beautiful device and I felt that this product definitely decreased the beauty of it. Would it protect the product? Yes. It definitely feels like you could take sharp objects to it. I just don't like the look or feel of it on the front. I'm leaving the back protector on, however. The stickiness helps it from moving around. I'm also confident when setting it down on its back.

I will be looking for a different protector for the front, as I have used other products on my previous iPhones that I've been happy with.

1.0 out of 5 stars Odd feel to this protector - Update: It sucks!, July 12, 2010
This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 4 - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The instructions with the package are really quite poor. They could do a better job at making sure you go to the video to see a demonstration. Fortunately I read enough reviews to know this ahead of time and installed the protectors without a problem. Didn't really see the point of the side protection pieces. I did put one piece on to protect from the dreaded antenna attenutation problems, but it made the stainless steel look dingy, so I took it off - wasn't having much antenna problem anyway.

The organge peel effect you get with this protector really detracts from the crispness of the iPhone 4 display. And I dislike the tacky feel this protector has - my fingers don't glide, they skid when I'm using the touch screen. I'll be ordering the Powersupport Crystal screen protector when it comes out. Had very good experience with it on my two previous iPhones. Might keep the ZAGG on the back where the tacky feel has some benefit; especially if the Powersupport doesn't come with a rear protector.

Update: Put this in my pocket one day and the protector curled up and fell off!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not good, July 29, 2010

The shield works as advertised, it was fairly easy to install, it covers the screen, keeps it free from scratches, fingerprints, dirt, etc. But I peeled it off myself in less than a week...why? It feels tacky under the fingertips, particularly when it gets warm (ie. hot day, after being in the pocket) and totally makes gliding your fingers over the surface of the screen an exercise in utter frustration. It almost feels like you're wearing a pair of latex gloves...or rubbing your fingers over the surface of a balloon. Bad, bad, bad.

2.0 out of 5 stars Protects great! Took it off after 2 weeks though., July 27, 2010

This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 4 - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Bought this for a rafting trip to protect the iphone from sand / scratches, and in hopes that I would like it enough to leave it on afterwards.

It proteced the Iphone4 for the whole trip, putting it on was easy and all bubbles went away after 2 days.

The iphone4's new screen really makes this product look bad. It's pretty close to invisible, but it's visible enough to make you look at the screen and think "This is pretty good, but man the screen looks AMAZING without it." It also adds a slight "layer" to the screen, making the new miminal distance between the screen and the glass lose the "sitting right in front of you" feeling and replaces it with a depth that feels like the old screen.

Photos, videos, everything that had that WOW! look still look very good, but they lose enough of that POP to make me think the whole trip, "man I can't wait to see what my videos/photos of the trip look like when I get this thing off."

Also the smooth, velvet feel off the screen goes totally away and is replaced with a tacky feel that actually screws up my games of N.O.V.A. (iPhone first person shooter game)due to the virtual thumbpad being too sticky/unforgiving with the shield on.

This was a fine product for the iPhone 3g/3gs's screen as it did not dampen the visual impact, however it's not good enough for the new screen IMO.

Came right off no problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saved my phone already!, March 15, 2011
This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 4 - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This is a fantastic product. If you've ever installed a screen protector, this isn't any more difficult than other products. Once it's on, it's on. No bubbles, looks great.

But where it really shines is it's self-healing properties. Over the weekend, I dropped my phone on an asphalt parking lot face-first. I was horrified to find several small indentations on the front from the small rocks it landed on.

I peeled back the cover and found the face of the phone unmarred. Whew!

I expected that I'd be filing a warranty replacement for a new front shield as this one was marked. However, I was pleased to find that by the next morning, the shield was again smooth and glossy. The indentations were gone.

Thanks Zagg. I'm a believer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really bad touch experience ., July 25, 2010
This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 4 - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I ordered this directly from Zagg and I truly don't like the products and how they feel on my iPhone 4. It's not worth it for the price and the orange peel effect on there products truly ruins the iPhone 4 touch screen experience. I don't recommend this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money...., July 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 4 - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I purchased this product in order to protect my new iPhone4. The application process is not all that hard, but this does include "Application Liquid" which helps slide the shield into place easier. After diligent application it was difficult not to have any air bubbles... the product instructions claim the air bubbles will go away in 2 to 3 days, THEY DON'T!!! And worse than that is the shields peeled off the phone in about one week..... I wouldn't recommend this product to protect your iPhone4.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great at first, but now not so much, July 23, 2010
This review is from: ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 4 - Full Body (Wireless Phone Accessory)
When I first got htis product it installed very easily and seemed to be protecting my phone, however the first time that my phone was set on a warm surface the invisible shield peeled off. I sprayed more spray on it and reattached it. Then a couple days later I put my phone in my pocket, and once again the shield peeled off.

I would not reccomend this case to anyone, the stupid invisible shield layer just keeps peeling off and it is impossible to clean dust off of the sticky side even with massive amounts of the instal fluid.
