Great Bargain for the Money, September 22, 2007
This review is from: ZEBRA PROFESSIONAL WIRELESS MICROPHONE
I purchased this Wireless Microphone setup for our church and so far, it was money well spent. The static hiss reviewers from other buyers complain of is not apparent, if you do not set the volume level to high on the amplifier ***
What I like:
*** Batteries Included *** Lightweight *** Output Signal is Totally Adequate *** Can be located anywhere a longer cord will allow *** Can be easily balanced with other wired microphones on the same amplifier *** Lightweight *** Exceptional range for the cost *** No wagging antenna to distract the audience ***
What I don't like:
*** Plastic screw-on battery cover (end of Mic) looks like dropping a Mic will result in Duck Tape repair *** Static and Crackling when from mike not in use when Receiver is located too near other electronic equipment *** Patch cord too short, requires you to place your receiver on top of the amplifier, thus the problem of interference ***
We balanced the two wireless mics with the corded mics and there is no way to tell which mic is being used unless you observe the one using it.
Overall, for the price, it's a winner, especially if you want to add more microphones to your Karaoke system. with two units, you can have a Quaret.
Bottom line*** Two Thumbs Up!

Not great, but not bad, January 22, 2009
This review is from: ZEBRA PROFESSIONAL WIRELESS MICROPHONE
We're on the second set of these Zebra Mics...the first set we returned because one of the mics had a defective switch, and couldnt be turned on. The second set works moderatly well. The battery holder is basically just the end cap of the mic, and you screw it closed to hold the 9v battery against the contacts....one didnt do the job until I put a quarter in the base to hold the battery tighter against the contacts....may I suggest a spring to the engineers? The cord that carries the sound from the receiver to your stereo or karaoke machine is too short, at less than 3 feet, to do anything except leave the 2 pieces on the floor together. A longer cord would be welcome. The sound quality is not professional, but not bad, it's adequate for practice and Karaoke parties. For the price, I recommend these, but dont raise your expectations too high.

shipment upset, July 16, 2007
This review is from: ZEBRA PROFESSIONAL WIRELESS MICROPHONE
My husband enjoyed the gift, unforunately, it arrived after Father's Day. I wasn't too happy with Amazon's promise of ensuring delivery within two days of ordering, but after finalizing my order. I was prompted that they couldn't give me that same guarantee, because the item that I order was through another merchant. Once I discovered this I tried to cancel my order so that I could order from someplace else, and Amazon again told me to contact the individual merchant, as if they had nothing to do with the transaction to begin with.
I don't like deception of this kind, and Amazon should have posted clearly that the guarantee was only for merchandise shipped directly by them.
