I got this weight vest a few months ago and was quite happy with it. The only reason for the 4 stars (would have given it 4.5) instead of the 5 is because the shoulder straps takes a little getting use to (I might just have broad shoulders and the straps rested more near the neck area) but there was a bit of pain for the first week or so, then I got use to it. I don't know if my body just adjusted, or something else. This is my first weight vest, and judging be the other reviews, it's one of the best ones out there. I use it with all of it's weight while doing sit-ups, jogging, walking, squats, ect... It hasn't shown any signs of wear yet.

Also, just a little more info, I believe on their site, you can buy metal cards instead of the sand filled bags (which are sometimes a little hard to get in and out) and, while this hasn't happened to me, the metal cards won't rip like the bags might.

Okay, one more thing. I got mine on Ebay (New, from the same people) for around 70$ with free shipping. I don't know if they're still doing that, but it might be worth a look to save some money.

Anyway, like I stated earlier, my rating is more of a 4.5 than a 4, but not quite a 5. I hope this review helped someone choose the right vest.

I purchased the ZFO-60lbs weighted vest for my brother who is training to be a firefighter. After searching hundreds of products, I found this to be the highest quality product for the money. My brother is using the weighted vest and overall he is completely satisfied with this purchase. After the first couple of times wearing the vest he noticed that his neck and shoulders were sore...but that is to be expected. The only negative he has found with the product is that the strap pinches him in his side at times. Despite that fact he is pleased with the product and the cost. Also, delivery was fabulous. Without any additional shipping charges the vest was delivered 2 days after I placed the order.

Item arrived quickly and as advertised. Quality of the vest seems to be good with strong shoulder straps and adequate velcro to keep things in place. Haven't tried with the full weight set yet, but was able to do running hill sprints with 20 lbs and it seemed to hold up well. Only have two small gripes at this point. The instructions that came with the vest appear to be from a different brand. Though the vests are similar, there is some minor confusion when trying to install the straps as certain sections don't match up with what was given. This is minor though and I was able to figure it out. The other gripe, which is somewhat more major to me is that I was charged $38+ for shipping. Because this was a 60lb+ set I thought that was reasonable. What the vender did though was stuff the whole thing in a USPS flat rate box which ships for one rate if it's under 70lbs. A large flat rate box costs $14-$15. Did it really cost them another $23 in "handling" charges? I think not. Felt a little ripped off there, so be warned.

It's a good product that's manufactured with some serious quality. And it's as comfortable as a weight vest can be. The two issues I had with this product had to deal with the one size fits all. I'm 5'11" and weigh 165 lbs - the vests Velcro system doesn't fully tighten to my chest and since I can't tighten it fully it causes the length of the vest to bounce and disrupt my groan during my routines. Overall, its well made and is worth your money.

I bought this vest probably 6 months ago as a way to train while running since I was enlisted in the Marines and leaving for bootcamp in 3 months. This vest at it's full weight is so hard to run with! I started off with just 30 lbs and that was difficult enough but I went to its' full 60 lbs and I could barely run 2 miles with it straight giving it my all. Very good adjustable weight vest, good for anything such as pushups, jump rope, or just walking. I would recommend buying this from ZFOSports over any retailer because this will save you money and you still get the same quality.

I had the 40 pound one, and now got the 60 pound one. Came within 2 days of ordering, which was awesome. This one actually sags less than the 40 pound one, it still sags and bounces mind you, but for different weighted squats, pullups there is no issue. With pushups, to counter the sag, I simple use stands so that cancels out the issue. Great quality, easy to assemble, and much better than any of the other weighted vests I have used in the past.

Love this vest. I bought it to train for my firefighter CPAT test. Vest has held up amazingly for the past 2 years. The sandbags are great for adding/removing weight though if you let them sit around for awhile they get a little stiff so you have to hit them a bit to loosen up the sand so you can fit them in the pockets. The velcro straps are great, and get a snug fit even though I have a smaller frame (5'7 female 130s range).

Standing at 6'2 255lbs and 15%bf my first concern was how this vest would fit. Other reviews will tell you that for those with larger traps, you might find it a bit snug or tiring after some wear time. Humbly I'd say that I have bigger than average traps, and thus find it very tiring wearing the vest for extended periods. I try to remedy this by wearing a hoody on vest training days. Every few minutes I have to adjust the shoulder straps for comfort, which is my primary gripe, but a worthwhile annoyance. The vest is fairly easy to assemble and is quite adjustable even for someone of my size. Doing (24-42in) plyometric box jumps left me wanting a tighter fit. The velcro straps in the front and rear of the vest are solid and hold well, but the sides around the obliques are quite elastic. For the bigger person this can lead to the elastic portion of the straps being stretched to capacity as you try to get a tight fit, which concerns me over long-term use. The vest has a reflective stripe on the back for night use.

The good news is that this vest is built of high quality materials. Naturally it draws attention and I'm often asked about what I'm wearing. To the trained eye it doesn't quite look military or like a bullet proof vest, but you'd be surprised how many people ask. I've started training with 30lbs 3x/wk for an hour at a time. The vest adds a substantial amount of resistance to my weight training routine bringing me up to nearly 300lbs. The downside again here is that for someone around this weight, you will be maxing out most machines weight limits lol. It does get in the way of some movements and machines, but overall is still fine to weight lift with (not on leg day lol). Just about any form of cardio becomes a task and will leave you winded for your first few uses.
