I have tried various brands of brake pads and these are by far the best. I ride many miles every week on steep hills with very technical descents where you need reliable braking. The Zipp brake pads have both great modulation and stopping power. I have used these with wheels that have aluminum brake surfaces as well as wheels that have carbon brake surfaces (don't use the same set of brake pads for aluminum and carbon rims!).

The only negative comment is that they are relatively expensive. However, I feel that they are worth it.
