I even tried making one.

I had no trouble using this with my Windows 7 laptop and my Cisco 7960 VOIP phone (no phone amp needed).

The set up is relatively easy and both products are working as advertised.

The zoom switch has greatly improved the use of my wireless headset. I can take regular landline calls on my Plantronics CS-50 headset and then press the button on the zoom switch and be switched over to the computer so I can use Skype, use voice recognition software, listen to YouTube video, etc. on the same headset. Works perfectly.

Having invested $300 in a wireless headset for my desk phone some time ago I recently took a job working remotely from a company and found myself relying on a "softphone" in my computer. That phone needed a USP connection and not my standard RJ connection on my existing set. The Zoom seemed to offer the functionality that I needed but I was skeptical if it would perform as advertised, voice quality is important in my job, but am thrilled to note that it is truly outstanding. Initially I thought it had failed my quality test but it turned out to be a bad USB port.
Excellent product, excellent quality, great service at a reasonable price.

I happily give this item 5 stars for doing what it is supposed to do, and doing it well. I had no trouble using this with my Windows 7 laptop and my Cisco 7960 VOIP phone (no phone amp needed). But be aware of these things:
-- the binaural phone headset I tried with it (Plantronics HW261N Binaural Headset) is either not built to provide stereo sound, or the ZoomSwitch doesn't support it. This is no problem for phone calls, but I was, at the time of purchase, in a sucky cubicle environment (and anyone who claims they're good for "collaboration" needs to just admit they're for "packing more worker drones into less space") and wishing to use my headset to listen to music or waterfalls, so I could do less unintentional "collaborating" while I was trying to get things done; and not having true stereo sound was a deal-breaker for me. I'm not sure if a different headset, or using one of these (ZoomSwitch ZMS15-PIGTAIL Soundcard Headset Cable Adapter - DJ9930) and a true stereo PC headset would help, but I suspect that phone systems, and the phone/headset side of the ZoomSwitch, are just not designed to handle stereo signals.
-- the ZoomSwitch is a USB device that will show up as a second sound system to your computer, which adds complexity and possible confusion until you get things set up correctly; but does allow you to do something cool, if your phone software supports it: I can have the ring sound and regular system sounds come through the computer speakers, so I don't need to wear the headset all the time, only when actually on a call.

I had been looking for a long time for a device like this. I even tried making one. This works great. Big button to quickly press and switch from PC audio in my wireless headset to Talking on the phone on it!

I bought the Zoom switch in order to connect my Sennheiser BW 900 headset to both the computer and a telephone. The Zoom switch was essential in order to make this connection. The set up is relatively easy and both products are working as advertised.

I have an expensive Plantronics CS36N - Binaurial that was discontinued recenly and replaced by a product that I don't want, nor do I want to spend that much again when my headset works perfectly! Zoom Switch was the answer. Plug and play connectivity and now I can also use it with Skype, bonus! If you're not especially tech savvy and just want something that works and is simple to use, this product will not let you down! At $50 it's a little expensive, but a lot cheaper than a new high-end headset!
