Here is a comparative of the Nutrition Facts showing ZOIC first on the left and Slim Fast Low Carb second on the right:

Calories: 110 - 190

The vitamins/minerals are somewhat similar in these two drinks and can be found on the Nutrition Facts on the cans. The biggest difference is that Slim Fast Low Carb has about 73% more calories and 70 more Fat calories per drink.

The taste, which I was concerned about when I order my first case of 24 drinks, is similar with the main difference that the Slim Fast Low Carb has a smoother, creamier texture. I experimented with adding about 80 calories of cream to a ZOIC drink and it definitely acquired a smoother, creamier texture. The overall taste of both drinks, in my opinion, is a good taste; but not a great taste. I would give these products a 4.5 rating if I could.

The Slim Fast Low Carb drink with its extra 70 more calories from Fat seems to satisfy my hunger perhaps 30 minutes longer than the ZOIC drink (without any cream added). ZOIC's package states "meal complement & snack replacement" not a meal replacement; in other words, it seems logical that one would add a small portion of other healthful food to make it a meal.

Both drinks refrain from adding any sugar or sugar alcohols (make sure you are comparing Slim Fast "Low Carb" and not other Slim Fast drinks which do have sugar added). Both drinks are free from Trans Fat.

I like to use both drinks to give me variety in taste and calories. The ZOIC drink at only 110 calories is a good choice when I want less calories and less fat calories; perhaps, when a planned meal time has to be pushed back in time by a couple of hours. If I need something to skip a meal, then I will usually choose Slim Fast Low Carb.

Both of these "Low Carb" drinks are good to have on hand in the refrigerator, so you can choose 110 or 190 calories versus some other super-sized 500 plus calorie item that may be in the refrigerator too.

I tried other "Nutritious" drinks to allow me to lose weight and have a meal on the go. After my wife was diagnosed with Diabetes, the doctor recommended this ZOIC drink in a ready-to-go format. Its great for my wife and me and our kids. I work long hours at two jobs to support my wife and kids and our family's needs aren't always the same; ZOIC works for all of us. No matter if one of us is playing soccer, or the other pulling an all-niter at the office. I lost 12 pounds in one month while drinking ZOIC without exercising and I have lots of energy to spare. My wife drinks ZOIC to control her Diabetes thanks to her doctor. Best of all, it taste great too.

I'm glad I found ZOIC. I have always been a "big guy" but I got a bit older and my cholesterol and BP went up too much for my doc's approval. She recommended that I try ZOIC to lower my cholesterol & drop a few pounds. ZOIC is apparently endorsed by the American Heart Association. It tastes pretty good too, I like it. It's not quite as good as McDonalds milkshake -- but hey -- drinking milkshakes is how I got this heavy in the first place. I drink it fter going to the gym or sometimes for breakfast. I like it alot better than Slimfast and Atkins which I have tried in the past. I read the earlier review comparing ZOIC and Slimfast and can't believe how much healthier the content is in ZOIC. I even have my wife drinking it now, and she really likes it too (and she doesn't usually like healthy stuff).

I like all the nutritional stats on this drink. However I think the flavor is a bit off to drink it straight from the can. I have found though that it makes an excellent smoothie mixer. Just add some fruit, and a little yogurt and you have a very tasty, healthy smoothie. I will certainly keep buying Zoic drinks.

i think the zoic nutrition drink is phenomenal. i was worried that it would taste like crap like most energy drinks. or that it would be filled with sodium or fat. but, it seems to be good for you (they can't lie about that stuff can they?) and i take them to work every day - i drink them for lunch...does anybody else do that?

I've been drinking Zoic for years and love it! I'm a busy sales rep constantly on the go and on the road and Zoic is the perfect start to the day. It also helps to fill in the gap when there is little time to grab a bite in between sales calls. Zoic provides me with better nutrition & helps to keep my weight in check. I used to grab a slim fast, but have found that Zoic has much better taste. I love the French Vanilla, but the Belgian Chocolate is my favorite... My husband's favorite is the French Vanilla, which works out perfectly!

I have tried both the vanilla and chocolate flavors. Although I prefer the vanilla I think both have rich and agreeable taste and Zoic not only tastes better than any of the competing products, it seems to be a much healthier choice. I will definitely keep buying this product.

I first tried ZOIC in FL while visiting my Mom. Her doctor had put her on it because she is overweight and had developed diabetes. She raved about it so I decided to try it and I loved it. I can't find it anywhere in Boston so I was ordering it directly from their web site where it is $25 for a 12-pack vs. only $32 for a whole case of 24 cans here on amazon. I have tried both the vanilla and chocolate and like them both for variety, but I prefer the chocolate flavor. I am not diabetic but use it when working out for the protein content and the vitamins because - unlike most other nutrition drinksd I've used -- it has no fat or sugar. I love the stuff and so does my Mom!

Great tasting and filling. No sugar, low carb, low fat and loaded with vitamins. I drink one every morning for breakfast and for a quick energy boost. I am also very athletic and love the 21 g of ZoPro protein blend for my protein supplementation. The chocolate is my favorite but they both taste much better than any of the Slim Fast junk. Waiting for the strawberry version!?!?

I bought this product because I don't always have time for a meal. I usually drink Slim-Fast but unfortunately it never really made me feel full. I have to say that ZOIC definitely takes the hunger away! I can't believe that after drinking this, I don't feel hungry for several hours, which is a big deal for me. (I'm always hungry!) I guess it's because of the 21 grams of protein, which is a lot more than Slim-Fast.

The taste is good, comparable to other meal-replacement drinks. I take one out of the refrigerator and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes before I drink it because I like them really cold and frothy. I will definitely be ordering this product again, and I think next time I'll try chocolate.
