Book Description

“Troubled characters you might have spent time with in a cold clammy bar (at least those of us who have had that type experience) struggle to survive the purposeful creation of zombie armies.......Pulling strength and weakness from pasts which have crushed their souls and hardened their resolve to live, each struggles to survive an onslaught of organized, government created zombies hordes roving the Mid Atlantic states...."..

Total strangers are thrown together into apocalyptic mayhem to test a bizarre form of psychotherapy. Everything they have is to be burned away in the hope they will be left with the will to survive.

Suicidal and ravaged patients from a rehab are forced to participate in a reality show gone wild, ostensibly meant to document their recovery, in reality meant to publicize their horrifying deaths.

In an Orwellian acid trip, shadow government controlled hordes of Zombies are systematically unleashed upon the East Coast of America by the would-be destroyers of The American Constitution.

Only one person understands the true nature of this evil-Marie, the persecuted daughter of one of the conspirators. Using only her wits, courage, and her sawed-off shotgun, Marie must lead the tattered remnants of America in the fight against a Zombie World Order.

Dead To Rights: Zombie World Order Part Two is the second in the series, and The Lazarus Law: Zombie World Order Part Three is the final book in the series. Please look for them if you enjoyed Part One.

5.0 out of 5 stars Out-of-the-box storyline plus great writing September 2, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Can't believe I'm the first reviewer for Zombie World Order. This is a great book and just to get the complaints out of the way: my one negative would be the length. I read this book "cover-to-cover" on my Kindle during an afternoon power outage (thanks Hurricane Irene!) and it went by too fast for my tastes. But for the price, I'm not even gonna deduct a star. I've read an enormous amount of zombie novels, so much so that the stories start blurring together. But this has a unique and very unexpected storyline - and it's good! Like genius good, as in "Why didn't I think of that!" good. No spoiler alert here: you have to read it. The book's not riddled with typos or grammatical errors and it doesn't rely on over-the-top gore. Even if it was/did, I'd recommend this book just for it's originality. I'm serious, this is a GREAT book. Plus it has well thought out and one-of-a-kind characters; you're not going to find the stereotypical hero or morally-conscious society saver here. The plot is amazing, the characters are well developed, it's a zombie novel, how can you go wrong?

Icing on the cake: the second book is even better (and longer) than the first. I love series!

5.0 out of 5 stars different twist to zombie apocalypse storyline June 30, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I wrote a review about this book already but it did not show up. It was my first review so I probably made a mistake. I enjoyed this book so much that I was compelled to write my first review and to rewrite it on this tedious, tiny, auto-editing little keyboard on my kindle.
I am not the typical zombie book reader, I am a fifty year old female who has never been into comic books or video games. I do however read a lot and after awhile you get bored of the same old thing and tend to explore other areas. I have read several zombie style books recently and was starting to get a little tired of the sameness of them. I saw the cover of Zombie World Order and was struck by the creativity of it and decided to check it out. WOW! P. J. Kelley is an excellent storyteller! He takes this type of book in a totally different direction. He gives you a group of characters that is fairly large but the way he has you get to know them it is not overwhelming. He give just enough about each of them as is needed at that point of the story and he makes them interesting enough that you want to get to know them better. His style reminds me of another author I used to be hooked on. I named the other author in my other review which may be why it was not shown. I'll just say this time that I read all this other author's books until I got lost in the tower. I don't know if that is a compliment to either author but it is meant to be. The best advice I can give is READ It! You will be glad you did.

The main thing this book suffers from is too many characters, and maybe some choppiness, but I didn't find to many spelling errors, and I really enjoyed the main character, Marie. Good writer, prob needs a better cover. Ok, def needs a better cover!

Basically, zombie/conspiracy story, over a background of substance abuse recovery, and believe it or not, it mostly works, I enjoyed some of the authors insights and the other books are worth reading, too. I hope he keeps writing.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT read March 18, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I just finished reading this a little while ago.

AMAZING, awesome, great, involving, entertaining, fast-paced; anything else a great book can have said about it.

I hated that it ended so quickly.

Being a Kindle owner, I read a LOT. Lately (6 months or so), I have been spending way to much time in the Zombie Zone here in the Kindle store. With VERY FEW exceptions a $0.99 book makes me hesitant, to say the least. Even thought this book is so short, I feel that it is VASTLY under-priced...story-wise. I got Book 2 even before I started this review.

The ONLY drawback for me was there were so many names thrown at you in a short time, it made me stumble a few times in my reading. But I didn't let that dis-way me. It's too good...

If you like zombies and if you like conspiracy theories...you'll like this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Zombie World Order July 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was hesitant when I first started reading this but as I continued, I became more and more intrigued by a new plot idea. A new type of therapy for those considered "deadbeats" by the pyschologists - drunks, druggies, & the suicidal. Admittedly, that may not sound too catchy but when you realize the therapy is to throw these people out in groups to go to New York and back in the midst of a Zombie horde invasion, you can see the beginnings of a good read. That is what this is, a good read. A few parts could have stood expansion, like the very beginning in explaining who was really behind it all but the blow by blow tales of the two main groups of deadbeats shows you what even they are capable of while they become utubish-tv superstars.
