It works,
This review is from: Zzoma for Snoring
Update 9/9/11: The ZZoma now requires a prescription which I assume is the reason it is no longer for sale on Amazon. Search for the Zzoma web page for more details.------------------------------------------------------------------ I snore much worse on my back than on my side. The Zzoma keeps me from rolling onto my back, so I sleep much better using it. It works far better than the old tennis ball trick, where you pin tennis balls to the back of your shirt to keep from sleeping on your back. The Zzoma works best when you wear a well-fitting cotton shirt with it. Loose shirts allow it to move around a bit. A couple of caveats: The elastic in the band that goes across the chest eventually lost most of it's stretch after about 6 months, allowing the device to move around a bit when I sleep. So now I just help keep it in place with a safety pin, pinning it to my shirt. Also by the end of the night, my body must be a bit tired of sleeping on one side all night, and in my sleep I sometimes forceably reposition the ZZoma so I can sleep on my back. If I were awake I really wouldn't do this of course, but I can't control myself when I'm sleeping I guess! Even so, overall the device works for me. I use it nightly and sleep much better now.

Works well, but...,

Used every night for 3 months. Takes a little tweaking to find a good fit at first. (When sleeping on your right side, wear it so the logo is upside-down.) It works well, and I feel noticeably more rested. However, sometimes I'd wake up on my back because the belt slipped around my side (even though I had it on tightly). Not sure if that can be helped. Nowadays, I'll wake up on my back, even with the hump underneath my back! My body must really want to sleep on its back!
I can probably blame this on my memory foam mattress (which coincidently I bought to promote "side sleeping"). I have a feeling the foam makes it easier turn on your back comfortably with this thing, so you may want to keep that in mind if you sleep on memory foam. Great product, but I'm going to try something else now. The quest for perfect sleep continues...

The Zzoma is a really good product and has really added to my quality of life as a person with sleep apnea and loud snoring.
Sleeping on one's side is rarely a complete cure for sleep apnea, but it can help reduce the severity of apnea to a manageable level. It's also much more pleasant than other sleep apnea treatments like CPAP machines. This is why the Zzoma is so helpful for me. It's so comfortable that I can wear it every night, all night, without flaking out and taking it off. I was never able to use a CPAP machine this consistently. My only quibble with the Zzoma is that it sometimes comes loose and rotates around your body if you are a restless sleeper. I solved this problem by pinning it to a t-shirt. This also increases my comfort level. Highly recommended.
