I have just finished watching the movie a few minutes ago, and the first thing I did was go online and look for the song from Zack and Miri's love scene. That song made the movie for me - and you can imagine my surprise when I saw a 1 star review mentioning a missing song. Out of curiosity I checked, and sure enough - the missing song, is THE song I came here looking for: Live's "Hold Me Up". I won't be buying the soundtrack, but it's getting 3 stars, for the glaringly obvious omission...

As for the rest of the album, I have always had a soft spot for the Kevin Smith voiceovers in his soundtracks, and aside from that one glaring omission, it's still a solid soundtrack.

As with other people's reviews that i am reading; upon watching the movie was greatly drawn into the curiosity of the soundtrack, only to find the one and what I believed was the BEST song in the whole movie was during, "Zack and Miri--make love for the first time", is NOT on the original soundtrack; i do know the artist is LIVE and the name of the song is Lift Me Up...however, as to rub salt in my wounds...you can not get it!!! To me...that is just shy of torture...that scene and song made the Whole movie for me!!!!!

Epic fail, brilliant movie. One of the most expressive, inspiring songs out there by Live, called Lift Me Up. Included on the soundtrack? Nope. Available anywhere except for a scratchy bootleg? Nope.

This song practically defined this movie's soundtrack, what were you guys thinking?

The Climax Blues Band song "I Love You" isn't available anywhere mainstream in mp3 format, 'cept here...and you have to buy the whole freakin' album to get it. Why? Why do they do this??

The movie was a lot of fun. The soundtrack is good too. However, I already have a lot of this material from elsewhere. The clincher is 'I Love You' by the Climax Blues Band. This song is really hard to find - legally that is. It was on CBB's album entitled 'Fly The Flag' which has long been out of print. I'm not sure if that album ever made it to CD because I've never seen it. This song doesn't appear on their greatest hits collections either. I think someone other than CBB owns the rights to it. The bummer here is there's no place to download it as a legal mp3 so you have to buy this soundtrack to get it. I'd rather of paid $1 for this one song than $12 for the CD of material that I already have.

I agree with everyone else who commented on the fact that this track was not on the album. It definitely made "the scene" a lot more intimate. However, the song can be downloaded from www.mediafire.com/live. It's located in the folder reading Throwing Copper (Demo tapes)...it's the fifth song. Just click it, download it for free, and save it to your computer. I have iTunes so I saved it to my iTunes music folder and was able to put it on my ipod...after three hours of searching for it, I finally have my song :)

Great soundtrack but when zack and miri make love for the first time, there is a song playing in the background. I believe it is a song by live. Does anyone know for sure?

This is a good bunch of tunes. As with most Kevin Smith movie soundtracks, there's numerous bits from the film between songs. Nice touch I think. Song-wise it's a typical mix. A couple one hit wonders from the 90's. A few alternative giants. A rap track tossed in. All good though. Most people seem to be after that song from Live. Missed sure, but half the songs from Live sound like that. Get their hits collection. The reasons I got this was for the two VERY hard to find songs on disc, I Love You and We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off. Pure cheese and I love it. Good movie, good music.

This album is the only way I could find to purchase the song "I Love You" by the Climax Blues Band.
