The Zagat guide is a great source for finding new restaurants. Highly recommended if you're coming to the LA area.

Zagats has never listed Babaloo!,

I Dont understand the hype over Versailles, supposedly the "most Famous cuban Restaurant in Los Angeles, when in the small quiet city of Whittier, a Suburb lies the true, best, cuban food in L.A.! "Babaloo!" Now, Ricky would have been proud of this place, with its high quality, very traditional food and flavors of Cuba, the Caribbean and the Yucatan penninsula .This very trendy, upscale, South Beach Miami Style eatery is truly one of Whittier's finest,the food is simply out of this world! no other has the charm or energy this restaurant exudes! the food has attracted many celebrities and food critics. when you feel like a little trek, it is 25 min. from hollywood and a little further from Malibu and Beverly Hills, but worth it!
