Zak Designs' melamine dinnerware avoids the worries of ceramic dishes for outdoor dining. Melamine is a tough, break-resistant material that not only stands up to steak knives and brick patios, but looks modern in its simplicity. The Park pattern starts with white-whether the inside of these 14-ounce tumblers or the surface of plates-and saturates the outside with six bright colors: yellow, orange, hot pink, cobalt blue, sky blue, and green. The six tumblers in this set display one of each color to coordinate gaily with the dinnerware.

These are fabulous tumblers! I was looking for non-glass cups that the kids could use that would also stand up to repeated dishwasher washing. I tried so many different brands that would start to cloud and deteriorate from the first trip through the dishwasher, even though they claimed to be top-rack safe. I bought two sets of these tumblers and have used them daily for almost two years now and they still look brand new. I'm back for a third set, just to have plenty on hand. If you like the look, you will be more than happy with the performance.

Edit, May 2010: I can't believe I first bought these glasses five years ago, but I'm here to say they are still in absolutely perfect condition. They look brand new and are still used daily and go through the dishwasher every night. What a great product.

Edit, January 2012: Have had these for seven years now and yep, still look BRAND NEW! Still go through the dishwasher every day.

So far, the glasses have held up well in the dishwasher, not showing any scratches, etc.

I got tired of washing so many glasses - waste of my time and waste of water - so I bought these cups and assigned a cup color to each member of my household. They are supposed to only use "their" cup during the day, and not keep reaching into the cupboard for a new glass when they can't find the one they used earlier. My family is still in training, but its working great at my parents house - I gave them a set too, and they've assigned a color to each younger grandchild. Now when grandma and papa find a half-drunk glass of milk or soda lying around the house unclaimed and unattended, they know exactly who the culprit is.

I have had these tumblers for about 2 years and they are still beautiful. Be warned though that if dropped onto a tile floor they will break. We have had 3 such mishaps. I recommend them highly because they stand up so well to the dishwasher.
