I bought several of these Zak sets: plates, tumblers, bowls, etc., for my parents when they moved recently and were downsizing. Their former ceramic dinnerware had become too heavy for Mom to lift without danger of dropping and breaking, and their glass tumblers did not store well at all. These sets are colorful and charming. Mom and Dad love them, and all of their visitors remark about their pretty plates. The colors are bright and cheerful. It is easy to care for. It stacks well in their new and much smaller apartment. I am thinking of getting some for us!

I love the fact that these plates have a lip on them and the color is great! I didn't realize that they would be so big, so now I can't close my cabinet door all the way. I should have ordered the salad plates!

I ordered an entire set of these plates, together with the matching salad plates, bowls and mugs because I thought they would be nice for kids' parties in the garden. When they arrived, I saw that they are not really "plates" but rather small trays. The lip is very high, which would make it difficult for children's hands to balance, and they are extremely heavy. I have other Zak plates that I would describe as "patio tableware" but this set is very different. True, the colours are brilliant and the quality top notch, but I returned them since they were not suitable for the purpose for which they were intended. I believe the product description is very misleading. I have never seen dinner plates wich such a high lip (this is not apparent from the photos). They would be great for serving drinks, snacks or fruit in the garden.

These looked great when I was considering purchasing new dinner plates, but in reality they look like they should be used at a picnic. Probably not what you want at your table every night.

The bright colors go easily with birthday party themes and summer barbecues at the beach. The raised edge of the plate is great for containing melting ice cream and preventing potato salad from sliding onto the ground while balancing the plate on your knees.

Exactly what I was looking for: stylish, upscale melamine plates with a lip. Someone else commented that she was disappointed because the plates are like trays. I guess that could be an option, you could use one as a tray for cheese/crackers, other appetizers, etc.
However, I think they are perfect for summer dinners. Nice weight to hold a hearty grilled meal. Love the bright colors and white interiors!
They wash just fine in the dishwasher and stack nicely to save cupboard space.
Note that they are melamine, so don't microwave.

I love these dinner plate they are so versatile.

The only reason I gave the product four points instead of five is because I could not buy it from Amazon UK but Amazon.com which meant currency exchange and import duty making the product very expensive.

Still love it though.

These are great plates for parties. The plates are big, have a very nice lip on them that prevents foods from sloshing over. No more paper plates for me! The colors are great also, very festive.
