I got this garlic peeler because I was sick of hand peeling garlic. It works pretty well, but if you're peeling a lot of cloves, then it starts to get slippery on the inside and loses its effectiveness. I resorted to crushing the garlic with the side of a chef's knife and it works just as well if not better. But I still give it 4 stars because it does what its supposed to.

I always want to buy minced garlic in a jar because I don't want to mess with peeling and mincing the real thing. However, I purchased this item to peel the garlic and bought a mincer. I hope the inventor of this garlic peeler is a millionaire because he deserves to be. In just seconds it takes the peel off and makes the garlic clove so smooth and clean it makes your head spin. So happy with this. Will never buy garlic in a jar again.

I am convinced this device is magical. Put a clove of garlic in, roll it around a little, and all those little pieces of skin that are such a pain in the ass to peel off with your fingernails are gone. Believe it!

I cook with a lot of garlic so this device gets a workout in our home. The garlic peeler easily and consistently removes all that annoying paper from the cloves, either one at a time or a few at a time.

It's so easy, I have my 8 year old doing the job for me when I cook dinner. He whines about it but knows it will always work. And he can peel me 4 to 6 cloves in about a minute or two.

It's better than removing the paper in the microwave because the microwaves soften the garlic and make it more difficult to chop. It's also cleaner than removing the paper by smashing the garlic with a mallet, the side of a knife, or a can because then you have to pick off the paper, and you have a smashed garlic which may not be the desired outcome.
