This bowl is a very poorly made imitation of the Texas Ware confetti bowls that were once and remain popular in kitchens across America. Unfortunately, the Texas Ware bowls are now out of production and are typically only available in online auctions, but compared to this bowl, one of those well-used, old bowls is probably a much better deal.

The inferior nature of the bowl lies in its thin side walls and confetti design (which smashes together bits of semi-solid plastic). Because of these inherent design flaws, the bowls tend to crack and shatter rather easily under a small amount of pressure into large sharp pieces. Can you imagine the mess of one shattering across your kitchen counter and floor while full of sticky, gooey chocolate batter. I can, it happened to me.

I would have given this bowl a minus rating if that would have been possible. My advice, look elsewhere for better quality and tell Zak to take a hike.

I really like this bowl. The size is great for many uses from mixing to garbage bowl. I particularly like the way this bowl is shaped. I can't speak to the bowls durability as I've only had it for about a month. Any melamine bowl can shatter into jagged piece, it's just the nature of the material.

I am amazed how pretty and also how functional these bowls are in my kitchen! Such a great product for our homes.

This item arrived broken in many pieces, really thought these would be indestructable like the old melmac dishes. Also bought the set of mixing bowls, they came packaged in their own box and arrived safely but now I'm worried about dropping them, I kept them because they are really pretty bowls. Amazon was quick to refund my money.

I use this bowl every day. I love the color makes me smile. I added the 4set to this one. Love the easy clean up.

I am happy to have this bowl. I can use it for many things and I was looking for a blue bowl to use as a garbage bowl like Rachael Ray uses on her cooking show.

I really like this bowl. I bought it for my husband who likes stove-popped popcorn. Now that we have a dedicated popcorn bowl, my Tupperware won't get so greasy.

I bought this bowl for making popcorn for the kids. I wanted something large, sturdy and unbreakable which is exactly what this bowl is. Recently, we used the bowl to mix up a large batch of trail mix to give away as Christmas gifts. My in-laws had had a similar bowl that I admired because of the splashes of color. This bowl is great too because it comes in many colors that will coordinate with any kitchen. It is very much like Texas confetti ware but at a fraction of the cost.
