5.0 out of 5 stars They just don't make 'em like they used to.., November 24, 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders (Video Game)
Games like this are almost a myth. I played this growing up as a child and it never failed to entertain me. You have to actually use your head in this comprehensive and intriguing seek-and-find adventure game. The plot is completely original, the humor is vaguely adult yet subtle enough to bypass little kids, and the characters are likeable and unique. Anyone looking for a good old-fashioned adventure game complete with references to aliens, the lost continent of Atlantis, and the planet Mars should definetly pick this up.

Why hasn't this script been optioned for a movie yet? ... This was one of the most mind bending *Pun intended* stories that i've ever encountered whether in games or in prose! Following up on LUcasARts success with "Maniac Mansion", Zak McCracken & the mindbenders was a storyline game similar in content & operation to most other lucas arts story games, (i.e.-Monkey Island series, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, etc.) This game needs to be brought back to life in some form!! Someone please help out?! I'd play the old version if my computer could run it correctly, but as is the problem with all of these Lucas games from the late 80's/early 90's.. the OS's that they were designed for just don't interact w/ the new Windows systems on the market. BLOWS... just plain blows. Please give Zak & his Alien cronies a new lease on life LUCAS!!?!?
