5.0 out of 5 stars Update: Dead flies everywhere!
Just as described. The light doesn't work, but that's no biggy. It comes charged, and it zaps them quick. I banged the racket once or twice in my swinging it around (the bulb wasn't working before then), but it is of strong enough construction that it just keeps on zapping. I highly recommend it!

Update: Okay-it pays to read. The light was always working...when...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the extra cash
This is only the second electric swatter I have used, but my friend has a 9 dollar swatter that works just as good. I like being able to charge this swatter, but my friend's swatter last a long time on batteries and trust me, we have gone to war with gnats and mosquitoes. My zap racket also zaps as if you are swatting a fly without coming in contact with anything. All...

Update: Okay-it pays to read. The light was always working...when I turned it on! I've used the Zap everyday since it arrived, and I've overswung and smacked a few things besides the flies--it just keeps on zapping. If you need to take out your frustrations on flying insects, get a Zap Racket--it's cheaper than therapy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bug Zapper, February 9, 2010
This review is from: 1 Zap Racket TM (Trademarked) - Lightweight, No Batteries Needed, Rechargeable Mosquito / Fly / Bug Zapper with Detachable Power Cord and Light
After trying other bug zappers, I have to say that this one is by far the best. I bought a few others that just didn't work as well because they wouldn't hold a charge or they were just too fragile and made of crappy plastic. They shattered and broke easily if you accidentally whacked a chair or something at the end of your swing. This one is also plastic, but much more durable. Also this one only requires the press of one button while some of the others require you to press two. I plan on purchasing a few more rackets for the upcoming season so that my friends can zap some bugs too. It seems everyone fights over this thing when they come over! It's definitely fun to use!

NO MORE BATTERIES! YES! We have them laying around but with kids, you need batteries all the time and it's nice not having to worry about buying more. Definitely impressed with the quality of the product after going through 3 other ones. Don't get me wrong, it's still made of plastic and like other plastic things you don't want to drop it or bash a table with it. But the plastic is durable. No problems yet. My 8 year old loves it and he'll spend hours killing mosquitos and bugs (except honey bees) with it. Great fun for them! Would like to see an expedited shipping option but it still got here within a week. I highly recommend it!

This review is from: 1 Zap Racket TM (Trademarked) - Lightweight, No Batteries Needed, Rechargeable Mosquito / Fly / Bug Zapper with Detachable Power Cord and Light
This racket is great! Came charged within a day of my order! One of my kids found one a few years back and it was a piece of junk ...this unit is well made and the rechargeable battery is high quality! The light will bring the bugs right in for the KILL! The kids love it and I would recommend this product to anyone! Thanks again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight and Powerful!, November 2, 2009
This review is from: 1 Zap Racket TM (Trademarked) - Lightweight, No Batteries Needed, Rechargeable Mosquito / Fly / Bug Zapper with Detachable Power Cord and Light
This racket is great! My unit came fully charged. I've used this on wasps, fruit flies, mosquitoes, huge house centipedes, flies, and a yellow jacket. Had a cheap battery operated one before and it broke-but not before pumping in $13 worth of batteries. That said the big plus is that it holds its charge. I've been out of town for a month on business and the racket was still ready to zap. Removable cord--great feature. I've left it charging on the patio, in the kitchen, garage, etc. And it's a blast to use!

One other note--there's a technique that will take a few times to master especially on flies, but it's great when you get it.

The Zap Racket is great on Yellow Jackets and wasps! Good quality, holds it's charge, definitely saves on batteries. Hopefully we can request specific colors soon. It's a great product that is useful.

It took one hit to stun him and than a good stomp from my shoe.

I ordered this racket as well as a different brand. This one is great...and rechargable. The other one doesn't have a safety screen and takes batteries. This racket did arrive with a cracked handle but still worked. The company was very quick to replace the broken racket and were very friendly as well. Thanks!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Zap Racket Is an Ace, June 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 1 Zap Racket TM (Trademarked) - Lightweight, No Batteries Needed, Rechargeable Mosquito / Fly / Bug Zapper with Detachable Power Cord and Light
Got the Zap Racket because I live in the country and lots of mosquitoes find there way into the house. I had to wait until they landed or try to smash thing between my hands. It was tedious and often unsuccessful. The Zap Racket has changed all that. Mosquitoes don't stand a chance when I can wave this racket wildly. Some are nuked immediately while others I've found it stuns them enough so they fall to the floor. Mostly depends on the size of the bug.

I have battled one yellow jacket that made it into the house. While it didn't kill the yellow jacket, the racket allowed me to battle from a safe distance and without using poisons inside. The yellow jacket was stunned to a point that it could be safely removed.

Great product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Zap Racket rocks!!, May 29, 2010
This review is from: 1 Zap Racket TM (Trademarked) - Lightweight, No Batteries Needed, Rechargeable Mosquito / Fly / Bug Zapper with Detachable Power Cord and Light
This thing is the real deal!
Bought the Zap Racket after two failed attemps with the cheaper competitors.

Comes with plenty off "juice" to take on the bugs in East Tennessee!
I used this last week @ a cook out and not only did we eliminate the bug problem, we kept the kids entertained!
The things I like best are that it's light weight, rechargable, and tough construction.

Keep up the good work.
Cabela's needs to carry this and not that cheap thing they are selling now!!
