I searched for "Original Bug Zapper" and found this product. The picture looks like my old one that was a gift. When I zoomed on the name on the handle, it showed the product I was looking for. I ordered one, but what showed up looks nothing like my original product or the picture. It is a much cheaper product. What they are showing and what they are selling are two different things.

I own four of these bug zappers. A push of the button and bugs get fried, period. It works especially well on wasps and yellow jackets. They don't always die on the first touch, but they get knocked out of the air and you can cook them on the ground. In my classroom, kids always freak when a critter with a stinger gets in. Not any more! We take one camping as well and boy does it work on deerflies and horseflies! And mosquitoes... They often disappear! You need one of these things. Safe, effective, and after zapping 2 or 3, it's quite a rush!

quite the little weapon,
This review is from: ZapMaster RMBZ100 Electric Bug Zapper (Automotive)
This device includes a familiar warning: "This is not a toy." Boy, they aren't kidding. It packs a wallop...I don't recommend touching the "face" of this device while it's on, unless of course you're a guy, which means you just HAVE TO, at least once. But if you do, don't be surprised to get quite a shock.
As for its intended purpose, it does a good job of taking down flies and other bugs in the house...large flies might take a couple of zaps, but the first zap generally slows them down enough to take a couple more whacks at them. Overall, it's a good product and does what it advertises, but be careful around children who might be attracted by its toy-like appearance and get the zap!

I went with two of the more expensive bug zappers ($27 each)and regret it now. They just don't work -- neither of them. I've had different bug zappers before that worked great and I bought them for around $17. I could understand if one of them didn't work, but both of them? I'm very, very disappointed.

One the best things I bought on a whim!,
This review is from: ZapMaster RMBZ100 Electric Bug Zapper (Automotive)
I saw this at a store & bought it on a whim & we are so glad we did! I got it on sale, but now that I know how great it is, I would even pay a higher price for it because this thing is awesome!! I personally touched it several times & it doesn't hurt. We're not even concerned letting the kids use it, but we try to keep it to the adults. We have a wasp issue outside & it's like "YES" when we zap them! Like the other reviews said, it works great on gnats, flies, flying beatles, etc. etc. Definitely recommend you pick one of these up...you won't regret it! It's like having one of those hanging bug zappers, but in your hand so you are in control of zapping what ever bug is annoying you. Everyone tends to fight over who gets to use it...it's very useful & entertaining at the same time. :o)

I love this bug zapper. I got it as a gift, thinking I'd never use it. We used it outside and everyone was fighting over it. If a swarm of gnats comes by you just wave it in front of you and they all die. In the house, we found if you just put the racket over a fly so when it starts to fly away, it goes into the racket it will die. It is true that some bugs take more than one zap but if you get them once, they aren't going to make it to far. I like it for outside on the patio. When people come over and see it they always say they want one.
It is true...as a previous review said, most guys just have to test it out on themselves. Everyone that has tested it out said it didn't really hurt, and they laughed after it touched them. |
