Easy-to-Install Fencing for Animal Containment
The Zareba Fence Controller is ideal for use with all livestock, including cows, sheep, goats, horses, and pigs. A short, safe pulse of electricity elicits a psychological response, training animals to avoid the fence.

This controller provides a convenient power source for fencing up to 100 miles. It works with any type of fence wire, including rope, wire, aluminum, polywire, or polytape.

Low Impedance Technology Maintains Maximum Energy Levels
Zareba's low impedance technology is designed to maintain maximum energy levels. This allows for less resistance in the charger, so more power can be pushed through the wire. A low-impedance energizer can compensate for loss of energy caused by contact with vegetation, enabling it to power long fences in weedy and wet conditions that reduce the effectiveness of other controllers.

Durable Design
The vented, weather-resistant, nonconductive cabinet is rugged and durable. Easy-access terminals and mounting brackets allow quick connections and installation. A fence light flashes when the system is operating. The controller has 10.9 joules of stored power, with a 6-joule output at 75 ohms. It operates at 115-volt, 60-cycle pulsed DC output (at one-second intervals).

The Zareba Electric Powered Fence Controller is backed by a two year limited warranty or three year (if registered) limited warranty, including lightning protection.

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful By The_Biffster on July 11, 2013
We have a small farm with cattle, hogs, turkeys, chickens, etc. If you're even moderately familiar with livestock (or any animal, for that matter) you will know that even the best fence is understood as nothing more than an invitation to somehow break through it and escape -- it's their favorite game, and they take great pride and joy in demonstrating their jailbreaking prowess, and their uncanny ability to time their felonious hi jinx to the absolute most inopportune moment for you.

So, we decided to "go electric" -- only to cheap-out and get a few of the wimpiest, pathetic chargers that drew muffled laughter from the nefarious bovines. Even the new calves were touching the underpowered fencing -- for FUN -- just before they would walk right through it. Yes, cows are evil troublemakers intent on global domination.

We'd finally had enough, and decided to "overpower" our newly installed, and quickly destroyed, electric fence. This time, instead of running the typical electric wire or polybraid, we opted for heavy-gauge galvanized barbed wire in three courses with the top two courses charged. We hooked up the A100LI charger, making sure to properly ground it (VERY important), and checking to be sure there were no areas where the wire was touching anything conductive. Well, it didn't take long before the four-legged cretins arrogantly decided to challenge us, once again, assured of yet another victory for Team Bovine.

BAM! Our big, strapping, >2,000-lb bull pushed into the top wire with his massive head. It literally sounded like someone had set off a firecracker, it was that LOUD!

Very helpful company as well. Great to deal with.

Worked great while it worked, but only lasted two winters on cornstalks. Warranty is only one year, and the case is impossible to get open so I couldn't figure out if it could be fixed

Purchased to put a little more kick to my fence. It worked well for 3 years then just died. While it worked it was great. I would expect it to last a little longer though.
