This volume starts with how the previous volume ended. Himi became a Hakushi after shielding Genma and ended up being stabbed instead of his master. All kami-sama return to being a Hakushi when they die or not useful anymore.
Genma then stormed Waki's mansion demanding to return Himi to him. Waki did return Himi back to life but it was not the Himi from before. This one does not remember his past and more importantly his master, Genma. Genma was so hurt that he thought this Himi is fake, which hurt Himi to no end. Slowly, their relationship started moving forward and Genma was helping Himi slowly to remember. Everything ended well between the two which brought a smile to my face. The sex between Genma and Himi was less in this volume compared to the previous one but no worries. The extra at the end made up for it. :D More relatives of the Mitou's have made an appearance in this volume. The twins with their cute kami, and Moriya and Ryuusei. Moriya and Ryuusei's story will start next volume. I cannot wait. Too bad Asari and Shoui didn't make an appearance in this volume except for Asari in some parts. I love those two. They are my favorite couple followed closely by Genma and Himi.

Shimizu Yuki is one of those yaoi manga artists who could be said to beat the same drum over and over (and that's true, sort of). But why fix what's broken? And her ability to plot is something that a lot of yaoi mangaka lack. There's quite a bit of history going on in the background of her series, 'Ze', and a lot of it goes unexplained until the later volumes. It could be said she's just making it up as she goes along, but you definitely feel it, when you read over a part and realize, "hey, she hinted at this in book 1."
I think V.3 and 4 have the pairing most people like most. I do like them, but I'm not overly fond of Genma, so it lacks something for me.
