I bought this as a companion to DK Eyewitness, and it definitely was worth it. The fold out map was great when we rented a car. The itineraries helped us plan and gave information in the sequence we were ready to look for it and learn it. Also had info not found in DK. The book is lightweight & small enough to carry in a shoulder bag while touring. I recommend it. As a side note, people in NZ are so friendly & helpful, you can't go wrong.
