I'm still seeing how well these work in an area of the garden that's hard to get the hose to, but so far things look good. That area is getting more weeds than the surrounding area, which means it's doing it's job, but I have to weed more. The science seems sound, and I'm looking forward to seeing more results. I've only had them for about 2 months.

I wanted to comment on a problem that some people have had with the other crystals - pushing plants and dirt out of the containers. That doesn't happen with these. They are much softer when hydrated, more like thick jam or watery jello - very squishable. The other kind stay much more rigid, like jello jigglers that didn't get enough water and can bounce. The softness seems to let them adapt to available space better instead of pushing everything away.

I live in an area with mostly sand for soil. When I ordered my sod, the salesperson at the Turf Farm recommended ZEBA - in fact he almost insisted on it. It's worked amazingly well. After only a week, I'm down to watering just once a day for 5 minutes a station and the grass looks amazing. I just wish I had known about this before I planted all of my trees and flowers.

We use this to absorb excess water in flower pots, etc. after a hard rain. It really works and we appreciate that it is biodegradable since we use it in our garden.

This is the stuff that they use for grass seed so you do not have to water it as much. Zeba works great for gardens and potted plants. I live in NJ, so last year we got hit really hard with drought and heat waves, and kept my garden going between waterings. When using in your garden, you want to sprinkle it in the soil and rake it in and leave it be until you put your plants in. Not available in stores in the northeast, but available on Amazon, this is a gardener's must have product.
