This is the one. I use highlighters frequently to spotlight sentences that I wish to remember. I have had two problems: the highlighting would fade so that I was unable to find what I had marked; and the fluid in the highlighter would leak through the page and become visible on the reverse side.

I probably would have given up the search, but I remember that when I was in Bible school, I had a marker that I used on my study Bible that did not leak through the page. In school that was very important because I frequently needed to spotlight verses on the reverse page. I really liked the highlighters I had in Bible school but I mislaid them and the store where I had purchased them stopped stocking them and then closed their business. Since the markers were so good, I doubted that the original company that manufactured them closed.

Recently I found one of the highlighters I had used in Bible school. Although I had not used it in seven years, it still worked. I looked in my study Bible and the passages I spotlighted in Bible school still were distinctive. So I used the brand name, searched on Amazon, and ordered these markers.

The Zebrite markers are outstanding. These markers are better than I remember. The old ones had three colors: yellow, blue, and red. The new set has five colors: yellow, blue, red, orange, and green. The new one still has two tips: the chisel tip for general marking, such as a word or an entire verse; and the pointed tip for marking small areas, such as a footnote. I tried them in my new Bible and detected no leaking. I tried them in a text book and the phrases I marked were distinctive.

I highly recommend the Zebrite Highlighters for universal use in spotlighting.

I purchased these after searching the internet for highlighters that wouldnt bleed through thin Bible pages. I read a review online that raved about how great these highlighters were and I am pleased to say that the review was correct. I just purchased a new Bible and the pages are very thin and being one that likes to highlight important scriptures I wanted to make sure I had a high quality highlighter that wouldnt bleed through the pages and ruin my Bible. If you are looking for highlighters that dont bleed through then these are the highlighters for you!

I would have to say the "bleed through" promise is true. You won't find spotting on previous pages. BUT..these show through very clearly on the other side of the page, so it might affect your experience reading the pages without bleed but with show through. You should know this. (I have high quality Bibles, some with thicker pages, some thinner, the issue is the same.)

What I recommend is you use the pointy side of the fat highlighting end, or lightly use the pointy end, and just underline-- don't go over TWICE (like if you skip a bit of white page). You still need to use caution.

If you want to highlight a whole area, then just use the yellow (lightest) one and don't press. Be as gentle as possible. Don't go over twice. Check the back of the page, and get a sense for how much you can use/press to minimize showthrough. I wouldn't recommend the blue or green at all for whole passage highlighting. Yep. Stick with the yellow.

I think some persons reading "no bleed through" will think the color is lighter and won't SHOW through, either. Just letting you know, not so. These will show, even if no actual ink bleedthrough (ie, ink passes paper and marks/spots on the other side).

I like these and would buy them again. But I prefer using these very lightly or using gel highlighters (which seem to have less strong affect on my Bibles) or colored art pencils (which, honestly, I am liking better than highlighters overall for my Bible, more colors and never bleeding issues naturally).

I had originally thought these were like those chalky highlighters I used on Bibles years ago--no bleed, nearly no showthrough. They were waxy, like crayons, and I got it at the Christian bookstore a long time ago. Wonder if those are still available? The packaging was like this one.

Anyway, not a bad product at all, just know what you'll get.

Enjoy...

I bought these highlighters (which were exceptionally difficult to find, unavailable in stores) because I heard they do not bleed through paper. I wanted highlighters to use with my bible: the thin paper is easily bled through by highlighters. I was hoping these would perform better--and as far as the typical highlighter, I think they are a fraction better, but overall, they still show through the page just like ever other highlighter.

They do work well with thicker paper, but I'm still searching for a non-bleeding, viable highlighter for use in my bible.

These work perfectly (don't go through the Bible pages) when using the fine side of the highlighter. If using the big end of the highlighter, it will go through Bible pages.

I bought these highlighters because I was looking for a highlighter that would not bleed through on my bible. These did on every color and I already had highlighters that did that. If you're looking for a highlighter for a bible look elsewhere.

Good highlighters but they DO bleed through on thin Bible pages. Don't believe the description. If you push down with any force at all, it will show up on the other side. If you do it very lightly, it's not bad, but then you can hardly tell you have highlighted anything. Try another product, not this one.
