4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT DEAL!
Now let's face it this isn't the best bass, neither is it professional, but for 100 bucks you get the bass, a pick, a tuner, a case, a strap, and a stand. that is a VERY GOOD DEAL. the bass has a cool design and is perfect for beginners. the crafting of the bass you will notice is a little cheap, however it still looks, plays and feels great. i recommend this bass to...

2.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
So, like everyone who purchases this bass, I just wanted a cheap one for fun.

That being said, the first one that I got literally sliced my hand up. I only noticed when there was blood all over the strings. The frets were left untrimmed and sticking out of the bottom of the neck. As I played the bass, they sliced up my hands like razor blades...

So, like everyone who purchases this bass, I just wanted a cheap one for fun.

That being said, the first one that I got literally sliced my hand up. I only noticed when there was blood all over the strings. The frets were left untrimmed and sticking out of the bottom of the neck. As I played the bass, they sliced up my hands like razor blades.

So, I contacted Austin Bazaar and they sent me a new one, which is fine.

Like the other reviews say, this is a cheap bass, and certainly not professional, but it works.

Just make sure to check your frets when you receive yours so you don't cut up your hands...

One thing you need to be aware of: the quality of this bass isn't the best. The zebra stripes, although still cute, look like they were done by some kid in his garage with a can of spray paint- not professional looking. That doesn't bother me personally, but I bet there are a lot of people who feel mislead. Quality-wise I'd say it's on the Wal Mart caliber. If you're a professional looking for a nice bass, this one may not be for you. With that said, I think it's really great for someone like me just starting out and not planning on trying to make it big or anything- just learning as a hobby. It's a relatively small bass- compact body and short neck, which works out nice for someone petite like me. The stripes are cute and I really like the light wood color on the head and back of the neck. And you really can't beat that value. $100 buys you a bass, stand, strap, amp cord, a few extra strings, picks, and a gig bag. Again, I can't stress enough: don't expect quality here. But for someone easygoing and new to this like me, its perfect. <3
