Zefal Bicycle Rim Tape (17mm)

This 17mm was the perfect width for my 26" Ryno Lite rim. There was extra length that I just cut off. There was a hole pre cut into the tape for the valve stem, however it is a bit narrow for a schrader valve, so I cut the tape after that and started after and ended before the valve stem opening. The hole in the tape is about an inch or so from the end of the newly opened roll. The tape seems strong enough to protect my tube from the spokes and sticks well to the rim.

Hefty and durable in apperance, this is a quality cotton rim tape that performs as expected and not a single flat in over 500 miles of riding. The 17mm was a bit wide for my double-wall 700c road rims (the 13mm would have been a better choice) which had some overlap on to the inner rim walls but has not caused any issues other than making it a bit harder to place the tire back on the rim.

This rim tape is very durable. I have used this tape for years and have never had any problems with it comming loose or loosing its adhesiveness. I like that this rim tape comes in a variety of widths. Over all, this tape is awesome. I received this product on time. The vendor was easy to deal with.

This product did exactly what it was supposed to...cover up the screws inside my new rims so that they wouldn't damage the tire tube.

I have built a Beach Cruiser and got some new Nirve Wheels for it for my birthday. I added Schwalb Fat Frank tires and some tubes from the local bike shop. I pumped the tubes up the other day and when I got up the next morning they were flat. I have never built a bike before, and had no idea that "rim tape" even existed. At the suggestion of the guy at the bike shop while there with a friend (who was buying a new mountain bike) I ordered up some rim tape.

This stuff went on the rim easily, and has done an excellent job of covering up the screws for the spokes. I'm confident I won't have any more issues with the screws damaging my tubes!!

I was replacing a tube with a slow leak when I noticed the existing rim tape was the non-adhesive type and becoming brittle with age. The Zefal tape was easy to install. Just line up the valve stem hole and work your way around the rim. The 17mm width was the perfect size. There was excess on the roll that I just cut off (my tires are 26").

My 13-year old Cannondale hardtail came from the factory with plastic rim tape. And after all those years, each and every spoke hole had punched through the tape, leaving sharp edges that ate up my inner tubes.

This tape is exactly enough to re-tape two wheels. The first few inches of each roll have a hole punched in them -- this hole should line up with your valve stem hole. The hardest part of the job was removing the old tape. Because it was so brittle, it broke off every couple of inches.

If you can fix a flat, you can re-tape your wheels.

Appears to be good stuff, time will tell. Re: Amazon Prime: the carrier obviously lost this one early on, per the tracking reports. Amazon, however, advised that they wait nine days before reshipping. A long time to go without the bike. Wish I'd just gone to the local bike shop (lbs) in the first place.
