This is the second Husky I have purchased. To my joy the new one is every bit as husky as the old one. The handle is still oversized like a small baseball bat. The base is still cast iron, only now it's bigger. The fold down foot holds have a nice rubber grippy insert. I have used the old one for well over a dozen years and used it a lot. The only thing to wear was the seal for presta valve stem, which are easy to replace. The hose finally cracked from age and began to leak. I put a tube patch on the hose, and probably could have continued on that way for another dozen years. I even thought that if the new one was not as good, that I would combine the parts to make a good one. But the new one seems every bit as good, and is so fantastic looking, topped off with that clear coated handle. As you can see, I am a hearty fan. If anyone asks what pump to get, there is only one choice. Get it while you can.

Aside from some difficulties changing the fitting, this pump is awesome. Pumps to 140PSI without any difficulties...and quickly remove from stem without air loss. Secure fit! In 20+ years of cycling, this is the first pump that actually works at all pressures and without leakage!

I've tried a lot of pumps and this one is by far the best quality. I once worked as a mechanic at a shop that didn't have an air compressor, just the one of these husky pumps. We used it to inflate thousands of tires and it never broke down or wore out. I now own one and have to say it is well worth the investment for any serious mechanic!

I have just thrown my Zefal floor pump away after its inability to form a proper connection with the Schrader valves on my bicycle. This is actually the second. The retailer agreed to take back the first, and I tested the second when I picked it up. It seemed to work OK. But two weeks later I went to use it to pump up my tires, and it would not make a good connection. In particular, the pressure gauge was not giving believable readings. The problem was something to do the way the head connected to the bicycle valve.

Yes, there may have been a special way to connect the pump to the valve. Maybe. Alternatively, the connection may have been poorly designed. If you have Schrader valves, do not bother and find another brand of floor pump. I now deeply regret not asking for my money back when offered by the retailer. I will now look for a floor pump offered by another brand.

Very poor quality. Pump guage didn't work on one, and was returned. The exchange was not much better--valve was broken and would not form an air-tight seal with the valve stem.

neither the pump not its replacement, while appearing extremely well-made, fit the standard "schrader" valve on my bike tire. both were returned.
