I can't really speak to the image quality of what gets through the lens or to weather or not it is bullet proof. But, the major reason I buy a UV filter is to protect my lenses from getting scratched or otherwise getting damaged. When I get a new lens the first thing I do is put a UV filter on it before I use it. Just like putting some kind of protection over the "live view" screen or whatever you want to call it, on the rear of the camera. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" Anywho, Zeikos seems to make a decent product and I'm satisfied with them and recommend them.

I bought this because I previously bought the 72mm version, and I was pleased with that.

Like its relative, it doesn't seem to affect the pictures. Since I'm using it as a shield for the lens and not for any effect, this is the desirable behavior. I've never dropped the lens to which this is always attached, so I don't know how tough it is.

This is a crafty product,it said multi-coated filter,actually it made of a piece plain glass with no coatings at all,this made me afraid to order things from Amazon again.

I bought this just to project my lens so there really isn't much to say about it except that it fits good and does the job. I've not tested to see how well the UV filtering works because that was not my intention for buying.

I should have checked previous reviews of this filter as it does not fit my 55mm Nikkor lense and that was mentioned by another reviewer. The reason for my low rating is around the lack of clarity within either the Amazon listing or the Ziekos site on Nikkor incompatibility. Net...If you are a Nikon person do not bother. If you use another brand lense I would also be wary unless you know that it will work. Amazon shipping and the overall buying experience is great but they need to fix this.

For the price I knew this was not a true filter but I was just expecting this to fit my 55mm lens as a protection. But it did not. Can't return it either as I would end up in a loss when I ship it.

So, I guess I also made the mistake of not reading the reviews, or else I would have known that this filter wouldn't fit my Nikon D3100. I only give it one star since I don't know exactly how well it works... since I couldn't use it. I wish I could send it back but I feel that the price of shipping would end up being more than I paid for the filter in the first place. They should warn people if the filter doesn't fit certain camera lenses...

It does not fit my Pentax lense. So beware buyers. Not sure how one would know that ahead of time/
