Worked only once,
This review is from: Zeikos ZE-WRL3 Wireless Remote for Nikon (Electronics)
I bought one and it didn't work. I even brought it to a digital camera specialist, and he said that it wasn't working. (my camera is a Nikon D70s)
I got a second one sent because the first one was defective. However, the second remote took a long time to finally take a shot. Then...never again. I'm really frustrated with this product, because it isn't responding to the transmitter.

I bought mine 4 months ago and it's working perfectly. I tried it as far as 15ft and it's still working as long as the transmitter and receiver see each other.
A friend of mine who also owns a Nikon D90 borrowed it and got too happy with it that he doesn't want to give it back to me. so I decided to buy a new one since it's only less than 6bucks. The 2nd unit still works great. Some people who commented bad for this remote might have a little of bad luck of getting a non-working one. why buy an expensive Nikon remote when you can have the functionality you're looking for in a third of it's price? This product is great for $5.49!

Right out of the box this very little remote worked as advertised. It doesn't look like the rectangular picture with yellow markings, but instead looks just like the Nikon model. Of course, I paid only a fraction of the cost of the Nikon model, so the fact it looks the same and works as I expected is reason enough to recommend this Zeikos product. I have had it only a couple of weeks, and I've used it only infrequently, but it does work at close range from both behind and in front of my Nikon P7000. The remote must be pointed fairly directly at the camera's sensors, but I don't see how this could be problematic.
One word on size and packaging. This remote is smaller than I'd expected, and that is a pleasant surprise. The remote is as thick as two nickels and the outline of it fairly well matches the size and contours of my thumb. There is a small pouch provided for storage of the remote. The unit was shipped in a small plastic clamshell retail package.

Item arrived before schedule. The item is a remote for the Nikon which was very quick to get working. There was no setup on the item side and all I had to do was get into the Nikon menu and select the wireless remote option. It worked from a distance of about 15 feet and from front, back and sides of the camera. It is much cheaper than the Nikon ML-L3 and does exactly the same thing. Well worth the price.

The remote is perfect for those who are using it for bulb shots on their Nikon (the models that support IR) or if they plan to take pictures with the minimal movement on their camera (from pressing the shutter release) like for fireworks.
Battery did arrive dead for me though, so I had to make an extra trip to get another one for a few bucks. Good accessory to have with your Nikon.

After months of trying to get this remote to work, I found out the battery it came with was dead. Upon changing the battery, it works quite wonderfully.
It's great for taking a lot of continuous shots - as long as you're pointing the remote at the camera. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to connect if you're not pointing it correctly, but otherwise it works great. I would recommend this product. Just make sure the battery isn't dead. (You can get it checked anywhere that changes watch batteries.)

works just like the nikon brand remote,
This review is from: Zeikos ZE-WRL3 Wireless Remote for Nikon (Electronics)
I purchased this remote instead of the nikon brand, just to save a few bucks.
I was pleasantly surprised. works just like the nikon brand remote. The remote I received wasn't the same zeikos brand as pictured, but looks very similiar. Only problem I had, was it didn't ship with a battery. Haven't tested the range on it quite yet, but i've used it well over 15ft without any issues. Remote triggers shutter via IR beam. So you have to be in front of the camera.

Beats setting the timer and lets you release the shutter in low light without touching camera. You can't use it from very far away 15 feet or so is about the max. Well worth it for a couple bucks though.

This remote is about the cheapest you'll find and it comes brand new. It's got great range for an optical remote. The only thing I can complain about is that yes this remote releases the shutter BUT the camera will not focus prior to the shutter releasing. YOU HAVE TO FOCUS FIRST either manually or pressing the shutter release button partially and THEN you can use the remote to release the shutter from a distance. So if you find that your pictures are slightly out of focus when using this remote you'll understand why.

The remote worked as advertised for my Nikon D50 and N65. You have to set the camera to the remote mode.
