Product Description

Amazon.com Review

Lightweight, compact, and portable, this titanium-colored device is a three-in-one workstation that goes from office to school to home. It functions as a lighted bookstand for reading hands-free, a clipboard for taking notes, and a storage pocket for notepad, pens, paperclips, etc. In the kitchen, it's great for reading recipes from a book because the book rest lifts up and locks in at various angles, while clips hold pages in place and a bright, shadow-free light extends on an adjustable arm to illuminate text. It's also useful as a clipboard for jotting down recipes in front of the television. A side compartment large enough to accommodate a letter-sized notepad (one included) slides out of the right side, just below a soft-touch grip for use when the folio is being used as a clipboard. Storage for other items lies beneath the fold-up book rest. The book light operates on either two or four AA batteries or an AC adapter (neither included). The folio measures 13 by 9-1/2 by 1-1/4 inches. --Fred Brack

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work as a book stand, April 8, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Zelco Folio, Titanium (Kitchen)
I bought this item to use as a book stand. It does not work for this purpose! What a waste of my time and money. If you have a book that will stay open when you lay it flat, then that book MIGHT work with the stand. Paperback books, of most common sizes, will not stay open when placed in the "stand". If you want a book stand look elswhere -- I will.

5.0 out of 5 stars Theatre techie tool, June 12, 2004

This folio is a great tool when working in the theatre. As a Lighting Designer, this folio is excellent. I use it primarily when taking notes during run-throughs. It's very easy to flip the light on and off & helps from being distracting.
During focusing & channel checks it's great because once you focus a few lights, it often gets hard to see with spots in front of your eyes. . . this little baby throws light where you need it; on your paperwork!
Also holds paper, pens/pencil, etc.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable reading!!!!, February 23, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Zelco Folio, Titanium (Kitchen)
I gave this product as a gift for my wife's birthday because she reads a lot. Before she had this article she was very uncomfortable and she felt her arms very tired.
Now she reads on bed with a table and she's happy because she doesn't has to use her arms. She reads books like Barbara Wood's, Harry Potter with no problem. The only thing we had to adapt is putting an elastic, because the book supports are not so strong to have the book open. (Sorry for my english, i speak spanish).
