We have had this clock over a year so far. It has worked reliably, while hanging in a shower that gets lots of daily use. I'm sure it has gotten water splashed on it, from various angles. No signs of leakage or rust so far. Good performance for a low price.

Update from August 2010: Still working, after more than 5 years.
Update from December 2011: Still working, after more than 6 years.
The battery has been replaced, multiple times probably, over the years.
I hope that Zelco is still making them with the same high level of quality

This new clock is very similar to the 10+ year old one that just quit. It doesn't have a ring to hang a wash cloth from and the back now snaps on rather than screws on, but works well otherwise.

I've had this clock in the shower for about 6 months now, and I have not had to change the batteries yet! I love it. The clock stays very accurate over time. I set it to the exact second according to official U.S. time when I got it, and it's only about one minute off right now after being untouched for 6 months. No water has entered the clock at all, and it sees about 4 showers a day in my house.

Love this shower clock! It's easy to read and waterproof. Have had it for a year now and have had no problem. Excellent for the price!

This item is just what I was looking for. It hangs perfectly inside of the shower door. The face and numbers are a perfect size for easy viewing while showering! Easy to wipe clean. Very easy to insert the battery and adjust the time.

The first one I received didn't work properly, but I followed the warranty instructions and eventually - after a long wait - I received a new one. The second one works like a charm. I'm never late from lingering in the shower too long anymore.

Pretty happy with the clock - ran for a couple of years with a need to change the batteries being pretty rare. Didn't steam up and was very helpful. It's worth noting that recently it stopped working. I assumed it was the batteries. So I took the top off and took the batteries out and noticed something stinging. Water had made it's way into the battery case and had corroded the batteries. The acid leaked out and then burned my hands (not badly) when I reached in. The clock of course was dead at this point. I am still getting another one and will assume it was a one time deal. Just look before you reach in - some (well at least one) does leak and the burn takes a long time to heal.

This is just what it supposed to be...a clock that works in my shower. I had a previous one for 15 years...when it finally just stopped working (its insides had probably tired out) I was pleasantly surprised to find they were still on the market. I can't tell you how happy I am with the replacement clock:)

I purchased this clock about three years ago and it has worked great. Keeps time accurately and is still waterproof after years of regular use. The battery lasted over two years before it needed to be replaced.

The only problem I have now is that the little "pull" tab on the back of the clock (used to remove the waterproof housing) has broken off. I have only opened the back up for the normal time changes and the one mentioned battery change, which amounts to about 8 times total. The back is now much more difficult to get off. Darn near impossible actually! It is a minor inconvenience, but I was a surprised the tab broke off after relatively little use.

Side note: If your shower is near your bed/bedroom and you are a light sleeper or have trouble falling asleep, it might help to know that this clock does tick sort of loudly. It isn't anything that can't be fixed by simply closing the bathroom door, provided you have a door to close of course.

I got this for my teenage son who spends 80 gallons of hot water in the shower. Now I don't have to get out of bed at 6:30AM to make sure he gets to school on time. Great product. It's not cheesy like some shower products. Good use of money. I'd recommend one for every shower in the house.
