Product Description

Amazon.com Review

This tiny thermometer/hygrometer combination is a useful gadget for people who live in more extreme climates or have medical conditions that are affected by temperature and humidity changes. Two hands rotate independently to report the current percentage of relative humidity on the top half of the unit and the temperature in Fahrenheit degrees on the lower portion. A color-coded chart below the hygrometer reading informs whether humidity levels are too dry, too wet, or normal. In addition, the thermometer/hygrometer has a central "comfort zone" monitor. When the pointers rest over the orange shaded sections, humidity and temperature levels are normal. When pointers rest over the yellow sections, weather is too dry, and the red section indicates that conditions are unbearably hot and humid. This inconspicuous little tool measures just 3 inches in diameter and mounts on a tabletop or sticks to a wall in the location of choice. This thermometer/hygrometer is covered by Zelco under a one-year limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

This review is from: Zelco Comfort Zone Thermometer/Hygrometer (Kitchen)
Completely inaccurate and impossible to calibrate. It does even seem to respond to temperature or humidity. Very very very flimsy construction. Unfortunately, so cheap it is not even worth the hassle of returning. This product should not be on the market. (Sorry to be so negative, but it's true!!)

1.0 out of 5 stars Complete geusswork, August 26, 2005
This review is from: Zelco Comfort Zone Thermometer/Hygrometer (Kitchen)
The item arrived promptly and in relatively good condition. However, the calibration of this instrument left a lot to be desired. This unit was off by at least 8 degrees based on other calibrated instruments used as constants. This item was of absolutely no use in determining the correct temperature. A real bust. However, for ten dollars, it's not the end of the world.

1.0 out of 5 stars Should be delisted, August 18, 2005

I also bought two of these items and the readings for humidity and temperature were always different between the two instruments. They're completely useless. Amazon should delist this item.
