This is probably not the brightest light in your arsenal, but it has a lot to recommend it.

1. Uses LEDs that are not overdriven. The LEDs should really last essentially forever.
2. Two useful brightness levels that lets you manage your battery life.
3. Electronic regulation - this should allow the brightness to remain constant until the batteries can no longer supply the current. I haven't run a longevity test (only had it a few months), but it should drain the batteries dry. My guess is that this will compete favorably in battery life with virtually any other 2-AA light.
4. Solid and innovative construction. I really like the side-by-side AA batteries. This makes for a pocketable light.
5. O-rings, gaskets and a rubber switch cover should render this reasonably waterproof.
