I am a swordsman and a Zelda fan, so I have real high carbon steel swords. First, I will say that there are at least 10-15 different master sword replicas out there, sold by different companies. So, you either get lucky or you do not. I purchased this one, and I got the better quality sword.

The blade is factory dull 440 stainless steel. Stainless steel is too brittle to be battle ready, just so you know. It is pretty strong, and after having it for four years, it has put up with being swung around. You can even hit plants and small branches with it. The tip is brought to a sharp point. Eventually, however, it has began to rattle a bit.

The triforce emblem is laser engraved, and is pretty decent.

The cross gaurd is cold cast poly resin. It is a durable material, but chips over time.

The handle is either poly resin or wood. I cannot tell. It has nice grip rings carved into it and feels comfortable in the hand.

The pommel is like a hollow poly resin. No weight to it, so the sword is off balance- but not bad if you have the strength in your arm to compensate.

It is not full tang. It is mostly a small tang bolted into the hilt, as I can see when I look at one side of the sword. However, it is very strong for a bolted tang.

The paint IS a dark blue in house light, but outside in the sun it shines an absolutely beautiful blue.

The gold paint is done well but has rubbed off over my four years of owning the sword.

The scabbard is very durable- and of surprising quality. It is hardwood, strong enough to take my dad pushing on it to get the belt strap on (not included.) The paint job on it is nice- all of the stencils along the scabbard are a flat gold.

I specifically purchased this item with the intent of mounting it on my wall with a plaque. I'm a moderate fan of the Zelda games; my first experience being on the ol' SNES, going through Zelda: Ocarina of Time, several of the Gameboy, GBC, and GBA games, and finally beating Twilight Princess recently.

The sword looks very much as it appears in the pictures, dark blue pommel and grip. The weapon is quite long. I reccomend pulling out a measuring tape and visually comparing the length given in the description before buying. It looks like the master-sword, and so it should. The scabbard is very nice, though there are no loops or holes to attach to your own belt.

My only complaints with the weapon are minor. The Hilt, grip, and pommel seem to be molded from PVC or some other similar plastic. It feels a little cheap in the hand. The weapon is not "full-tang" (I.e. the blade ends at the hilt, rather then continuing all the way up the handle). This means that in any kind of mock battle or play, the blade could easily be disconnected from the handle. Even a hard swing of the sword in the air could potentially damage it. The blade itself is made from a cheaper metal, and could use a good polishing once it arrives. I would use it soley for display, or to compliment a costume.

I was expecting it not to look like the picture. the sword is very good ...if you get this you most deffently need the sheild for the full zelda look...only complaint i have is the color of the sword is not the same blue shown in this picture or on other sites and youtube videos... but its not bad its just a dark blue but it looks lighter in the sunlight

This replica is a beauty and any zelda fan will love to add this ot their collection. It comes encased in 2 styrofoam blocks that prevents the sword from moving around in the box during shipping, so it's very unlikely that it gets damaged before being delivered to you. The scabbard is smooth and nicely polished and the sword itself is full of small details that just make the replica feel authentic! One thing to look out for, however, is the mouth of the scabbard (the "golden" part where you slide the blade in). It has a v-shaped groove in it that the diamond on the blade's guard slides into, but mine fit in so snuggly that I couldn't draw the blade without having the golden part still stuck to it and coming completely off from the scabbard! It's a problem that's easily fixable and yours may not even get that problem, but in this case it will cost a point to what would otherwise be a five stars item! All in all, I still recommend it and beyond that one little flaw mine had, it remains a great product!

This sword is awesome, the triforce is excellent on the one I received and its great in weight and slightly sharp and the tip and the top of the scabbard are metal and great detail. The only down fall to it, is that its slightly darker and the paint is a little spraypainty and mine has a little chip in it, but i'm happy with it and its detail. Its a must have either way.

At first, I was a little hesitant to buy one of these. As a huge Zelda fan, a replica Master Sword sounded like one of the coolest things I could spend money on. The reviews scared me a little, making me wonder if I'd end up wasting money on a bad product.

First off, if you're buying, buy from Top Swords. They send you the one that is pictured. I know a lot of people give it low reviews saying they didn't get the same thing, but Top Swords sends you the real one.

The package it came in was massive, though that's what you pay the $15 for, and honestly that's what you should expect when you bought an entire sword. It came super fast, arriving today (a Saturday) when I had ordered it Tuesday. The shipping was a good chunk of the cost, but man was it worth it.

I'm not sure if it still is on sale, but I managed to snag it when it was only $30, so I got it for a total of about $45. It was on sale for a long time, so if you don't like the price just wait a little bit.

The sword itself is fantastic. I am in o way any sort of expert on swords or replicas, but it looks great. My only complaint is that the paint is much darker than shown. Many people say it's the same in the sunlight, but I'm not seeing it. It's a fairly dark blue in the dark of a house, and outside it's a pretty basic navy blue color. The handle is made incredibly well and looks amazing in my opinion.

The blade isn't sharpened, though the tip sure is, so watch out for that. The inside of the scabbard has some sort of stuff that rubs off onto the blade (a little bit of black on the tip, and oily stuff on the blade, though it isn't noticeable and comes off on a cloth).

Like others have said, it is a display piece, so don't expect to heave it around and the blade to stay.
