This game is absolutely atrocious. Along with Link: Faces of Evil, it is just a horrible game. The animation is pathetic. The voice acting is embarrassing. The game play is awful, and the music is really bad. The graphics are not that impressive, but not that bad either for its time. This was NOT developed by Nintendo, but was licensed by Nintendo. This game should only be bought by avid Zelda collectors, but I suggest not playing it.

Allow me to explain: some moron sees an AVGN episode where he mentions it, he thinks "wow, these games must suck! A fictional internet character told me!"; he then runs over to amazon, having no idea what the games are like, and gives them a bad review, then rates down every good review of it. You people sicken me. It's a cdi game, what do you expect!? The only 4 star review it got was completely un-biased, and therefor, these same morons tore it apart. Please, zelda fans, get a life! We get that you don't like them, but at least play them before hating them!

It's Zelda, you have to love it. The graphics are definitely unique and appear to have been painted and then digitized. The music is actually quite good. The animation and control however are not that great, but once you get used to the controls there is no problem at all. It's classic Zelda fun but you play as Zelda in this one. You collect items, use special abilities, visit various locations and complete your quest. Funny characters and new Zelda storyline. If you forget how outdated it is, this game is fun. Enjoy

...but just watch the videos on YouTube. I mean, every gamer worth their salt has heard of this monstrosity. The animation is simply horrid, and the game has been likened to playing a DVD menu. The voice acting was outsourced to amateur Russian performers. (Some people find the phenomenally campy script the best part of the game.) Make of this what you will. But if you are a console collector like me, and already have a CD-i, this game may be of historical value to you.
